"I hope you didn't come here to protest your own actions," said one of the elders.
I actually wanted to laugh. My own actions? How could it be called my own actions? When they forced me to do that at the same time. It's really sad to hear that from them. I was at the place where the elders gather daily.
The purpose of my coming here is merely to have Niel come to me. I know this is very risky for me. Because, actually, there was no one who dared to lure Niel to face her directly. Except for me, because I was doing just that. Niel is not a vampire who is curious about information.
He can find out for himself with his super-powerful power. I also don't understand why he doesn't want to join the Vampire Association here; he prefers to live separately from the others. It was lucky that Ethan could be friends with a powerful man like him.
"Of course not; I've never regretted my actions. Besides, I didn't come here to meet you," I explained. I could see the frown on their foreheads as they stared at each other, trying to guess what I meant. The front door slammed quite hard, even though the door was made of mahogany that had been beautifully carved and given a little weight so that it could not be slammed like before.
I saw Niel there for the second time, of course. Ethan had already taken me to see him once, which is why I became close to Zaydan. It could be said that at this moment, Niel seemed very angry with me, of course. Seeing his gaze so resistant to me made me feel a little creeped out.
"Niel? Explain what you came to be so impolite about!" one of the elders shouted.
Niel only glanced at them briefly before glancing back at me. No matter who I run to right now, it seems like I'm really going to die if Niel keeps looking at me like that. However, his cold gaze instantly turned warmer. His white pupils looked calmer than before.
"I was just fulfilling an invitation from Jasper. Then what do you want to tell me? It would be better if the information you have could catch my attention and not seem wordy. Or else I'll finish you," Niel said with a smile.
"Well, I'm sure you'll be surprised if I say that Mark is after Rosakis," I said.
"Why would you speculate like that?" asked Niel.
"After I erased his memories, he was working with the demons. One of them was a close friend of mine, and they said there were some demons who had quite interesting powers. Among other things, seeing a person's potential if that person changes, and-"
"Damian can see Rosalie and the great potential she brings if she becomes a vampire. He told Mark about it, and Mark eventually agreed not to kill Rosalie. He's going to use her for his own purposes," Brilly cut in from nowhere.
"You brought a demon to this sacred place?" One of the elders was upset.
"Sacred? A place full of blood like this doesn't deserve to be called a holy place," Brilly retorted.
It was indeed a big mistake to bring her here; I would have been kicked immediately afterward without being allowed to explain further how I meant what I said and what Brilly said.
"So what do you mean?" asked Niel.
"He wants to turn Rosalie into a vampire with poison from the criminals he knows. Mark wants to make Rosalie clay and uncontrollable; he wants to make Rosalie his own," I explained.
I wouldn't let anyone take Rosalie away from me, especially if Rosalie was only going to be used as a tool for revenge and so on. Mark had to step over my dead body first before he could take Rosalie.
"Jasper, explain clearly what you just said," Niel said. His gaze was again cold, sharp, and piercing. What part of this did he not understand? I'm sure he already knows this, right?
"In short, Mark wants to turn Rosalie into a vampire and use her power as an attack against all of us. The vampires who betrayed him," I explained.
"How does she know what power she'll get if Rosalie becomes a vampire?" said one of the elders.
"Hey, I explained it earlier. Didn't you hear that?" Brilly was annoyed.
"Sorry, we don't want to hear what you have to say. Because usually everything that comes out of a demon's mouth is just to manipulate the other person," said Frank, one of the elders.
"You're the ones who think you're holy after killing so many humans to suck their blood; how disgusting," annoyed Brilly.
"The point is, there was a demon who could see Rosalie's power or potential when she turned into a vampire. Niel himself told me and my family earlier that Rosalie comes with a million surprises. Isn't that right, Niel?" I asked.
"Rosalie has two great potential. Destroy everything we have and correct all the mistakes we've made," Niel said.
Niel seems to have caught the point of what I just said. Well, at least it wasn't in vain that I brought Brilly here, hence Niel wanting to come. He wanted to see the devil in person.
"So what are you preparing to fight, Mark?" asked Niel.
I smiled. I really didn't expect to be here with the passkey I held to open the door to my revenge that I had locked for centuries. "Mark, having children," I said.
Whispers began to be heard among the elders; even Niel himself did not understand how to respond to my words. "What does this have to do with this revenge plan?" asked Niel.
"That child is a half-blood," I said.
Suddenly, Niel and the others rounded their eyes, and Niel even came forward and grabbed my shirt to make sure if what I said was true or not. "I'm telling the truth; you can see for yourself," I said as I held out my own hand.
Half-blood is a word that most vampires hate. For them, half-bloods are worse than humans who are made into vampires; the comparison of humans and vampires that cannot be fused makes most half-bloods killed. But how would I know if Mark's son had someone stalking Rosalie?
His face is familiar to me, and as long as Rosalie is mine, I can see him constantly around my woman. Even when Zaydan claimed to have smelled half-blood in the school hallway, it was from the man who was talking to Rosalie at the time. In that case, he had actually taken a head start.
"When you already know the real situation, do you still want to stay here? I enjoy a cup of blood that is so delicious when someone is trying to destroy you slowly," I said.
Niel put his arm around me and smiled. "Ethan never makes mistakes in raising his children, then. Let's find out more facts and make Mark and his son suffer for the rest of their lives," Niel said.
Rosalie, I still hope you'll remember me. How long do I have to face this all alone? My thoughts.
