ROSALIE POV
Okay, this is getting weird. After our last meeting with Brilly in the park, he now seems to stay away from me. I suddenly wondered, why is he like that? Did I just make a fatal mistake? For him to suddenly distance himself from me.
"Rosalie."
I turned my head, seeing the person who tried to get close to me yesterday. I only smiled briefly in return, knowing what intentions he was hiding. In these few days, I kept seeing him near me, and it made me a little uncomfortable.
"You again, why?" I asked.
"Your answer is really rude; is it wrong if I just want to say hello to you? Do you not want to be greeted by me?" he asked.
I rolled my eyes lazily. Why has my life been so strange lately? Like, not usually. Something is gone, leaving a deep mark on me. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the mark, as if he had hidden it very neatly.
"Who exactly are you? I've never seen you here before; are you a transfer student?" I asked the man.
Unfortunately, he just laughed, as if he were mocking my question, and I could not recognize him. After all, what was wrong with me asking him that? Isn't it normal for me to ask someone I don't recognize at all? I accidentally saw Brilly staring at us from a distance. I tried to call out to her because I wanted to ask for her help. However, for some reason, he looked sad.
"Brilly!" I shouted.
When the man walked up to me, I deliberately grasped his hand tightly so that the strange man in front of me could think that I was Brilly's partner. I knew that Brilly didn't like it and was trying to break the grip. However, I deliberately held back and tried to spoil him.
Meanwhile, the man in front of me just smiled, damn it. That smile sliced my heart, as if that ordinary smile was formed from the amount of pain the man was enduring. At that moment, Brilly threw my hand away and pulled me to the next class hallway without saying anything else.
Meanwhile, I was still transfixed by the man's smile. I recognized that smile; my body was responding to the pain that the man was feeling. Strangely, I couldn't remember who that man was; he was still a strange man that I didn't recognize. Ah, is it possible that he resembles someone I know? Right, maybe I just felt déjà vu.
Déjà vu with an incident that I don't remember? What the hell is happening to me? I thought.

"Excuse me, you must be Rosalie Fawnia, right?"
I turned my head, seeing a man with a casual style of dress approaching me and Mary, who had just come out of our faculty hallway after Mr. Paul's class. I just smiled in response, because I really had no idea who this man was.
"Yes, what are you looking for me for?" I asked.
"First, let me introduce myself. My name is Dylan. Dylan Steele: I'm a medical student here; Mrs. Kayla asked me to ask for your permission as the president or leader of the campus library club," he said.
I was a bit misfocused by his name. What a strange name—even stranger to hear his last name. It was like hearing the name of the greatest enemy of all the people.
"I'll allow it; why don't your lecturer just ask Mr. George? I mean, he would understand," I said.
"Mr. George is on sabbatical. That's why he handed over his position to you temporarily," Dylan explained.
Of course I was surprised; Mr. George had never said anything like that to me. I didn't even know that he was on sabbatical. Since when did Mr. George take the leave that he had piled up? However. What's wrong with helping other faculty with their work?
I walked back with Mary, of course, after seeing Dylan leave again while calling his own lecturer. Just as Mary was being picked up by one of her friends, I was forced to walk alone to my house. Once again, I managed to see how the previous man was trying to follow me.
"How long are you going to follow me like this?" I asked with a lazy look at the man. While the man just smiled awkwardly as he approached me, I still couldn't figure it out. Who exactly is this man, and how can Brilly seem to recognize him?
Honestly, I have often seen them talking together in the campus park. Strangely enough, they look very familiar. Not like someone who just got to know each other.
"Sorry, I was just curious about you. Don't get me wrong; I'm not your stalker," he said.
I rolled my eyes lazily. I was already pretty tired of all these crazy games. Why is the universe constantly confusing me these days? What exactly is she trying to show me?
I had no intention of answering his words, so I immediately turned around and walked. Of course, I didn't look at what was on the road when I stepped on it. Unfortunately, somehow, a banana peel forced me to swerve. Of course the pariah caught me; we were right under the streetlight this afternoon.
However, for some reason, when I saw Hazel's eyeballs, my head felt very dizzy again. A whole bunch of events that I had never experienced suddenly came to mind. Of the many pieces of memory, there was one that made me feel like this was the reason I felt like I was losing someone I cared about.
"Rosalie, we can live together, even if you're human and I'm...."
And what? Why was that memory cut off just like that? Who is she? Why is her voice so familiar? I thought.
"Hey, hey! Are you okay, Rosalie?" he asked.
I opened my eyes, trying to align the sunlight that entered my eyes for the first time. For some reason, the voice of the man in front of me felt the same as the one in my memory when I realized I was on the street. Suddenly, I got up and tidied up all my clothes and hair from some sand that stuck.
I also immediately took the bag and book I was holding earlier from the man whose name I still didn't know. "Thank you for your help, if I may ask. What's your name?" I asked.
"Me, Cameron," he said.
"You use your last name?" Okay, it's not very polite; I'm totally what I'm talking about. It felt very spontaneous, and somehow it seemed like the guy named Cameron was surprised too.
"Sorry, I'm so impolite. Then, as you know, my name is Rosalie," I said.
"It's okay; it seems like you were very spontaneous when you said it," Cameron said with a chuckle.
"Yeah, I don't know how I said it. Let's end it here, then. I've got some homework and college work to do," I said as I waved my hand and walked away from him.
Jasper, who is he? I thought.
