JASPER POV
"You want to see Rosalie again?"
Ethan's voice rang in my head, and my steps paused for a moment before turning to him with a flat face. I could see how Cassandra beside Ethan was so worried when Ethan asked that.
"Yes," I replied. I was about to take another step before I heard Ethan's sarcasm again.
"You won't get better if you're too obsessed with her," Ethan quipped.
"Thanks, Ethan; at least I'm not the one giving myself this misery. You're the one who made everything go wrong," I said as I ran out of the house. Despite Elle's attempts to catch up and call me, I remained silent and didn't turn my back on my older sister.
It had been two days since Rosalie had lost all her memories. More precisely, I erased her memories. Since then, I've been stalking her, trying to see how she's doing, even moving into her old house. You should know that the apartment she sold was bought by me, of course.
I also left her a necklace and a novel that I had left at my house. Of course, I hoped that she would remember the spark of memories about the two of us. However, as long as I've been alive, none of the victims I've erased have been able to recall the memories I've permanently erased.
I also saw how Rosalie interacted with Zaydan and Brilly. It was painful to see her unable to remember who I was, but in retrospect, I had spared her from the torment that would have continued even longer if she had remained by my side.
However, on the other hand, There was a strange thing too; someone always seemed to be near Rosalie. This person in the black hoodie disturbed my mind. Because I couldn't smell the blood if he was human. However, I didn't smell any race in him either. It felt like there was something wrong every time I saw him.
My parting with Rosalie that night made the elders return to their homes with a sense of peace. Meanwhile, Mark had been holding a grudge until now and was rumored to have disappeared somewhere to complete his rebellion plan. Elle's vision became increasingly unclear as to where she was going.
"Apparently you haven't felt hurt after seeing Rosalie like a dazed person, huh?" Brilly said.
Suddenly I laughed, and I grabbed his hand when he reached out as a sign that he was happy to see me. "At least I can still see her," I said.
"Someone is following her; you must know, right? I can't trace him even though I know he's half-blood," Brilly said.
I rounded my eyes as she said that gamblingly. "Half-blood? How do you know that?" I asked.
"Your vampire friend behaves strangely every time she encounters that mysterious man; too bad I can't track him," Brilly said.
"Ah, that's right. Did you telepathically send Rosalie yesterday afternoon? When you dropped off her favorite ice cream," said Brilly.
I furrowed my brow as I shook my head at Brilly. "I didn't do it, and how could I? Rosalie, she's human. You're not kidding," I said.
"I'm not joking; your woman whispered something. Unfortunately, I can't find out who or what was sent into Rosalie's mind. You know, Jasper. That kind of power is only possessed by the Devil, which means this guy in the black hoodie is one of Mark's conspirators. Wow, he has a grudge against you," Brilly explained.
"I still don't understand why he has such a grudge against me. If you remember, his soulmate died not because of me," I said.
"Could it be that he's not actually concerned about the soulmate? Rather, it's another secret that might be related to you. However, the way to immobilize you, according to him, is through your soulmate," Brilly said.
Okay, I seem to have lost my mind. Having a discussion with a demon? About my life as a vampire Maybe the elders should record this incident in the history book. Well, at least I will be remembered as a troublemaker for as long as history records it.
"Elle saw the split, but until now I didn't see any signs of it. Or maybe Mark will play a trick?" I muttered.
"But, Jasper. Do you realize that they are all after Rosalie, not your family? Does Rosalie have a pedigree or something that threatens you all?" Brilly asked.
I shook my head firmly before remembering Niel's words about the big changes that would be brought about if Rosalie became a vampire. I was instantly reminded of the transformation of humans into vampires. We, as pure vampires, have rules for transforming humans into vampires.
Rules if only we, the highest vampires, can turn humans into vampires. I mean, our pure venom is not intimidated by any evil. So if the human becomes a vampire, Even if he becomes a vampire, he won't trouble everyone with the various crimes he will commit. It's different if the transformation is done carelessly.
The poison that is intimidated by evil intentions makes the human who wants to become a vampire contaminated with these intentions. This has a bad impact on the surroundings because, usually, newly born vampires will be more vicious than the usual pure vampires; they are more brutal. Why did I just remember that?
"Hey! Why are you suddenly silent? It's not funny, Jasper." Brilly was annoyed.
"I think I know why they're targeting Rosalie. However, before that, You should know that there are two people after Rosalie right now. From the demon race, and also a half-blood," I said.
The man in the black hoodie was half-blood, and judging from his movements, he was not Mark's accomplice. However, he was still related to him. At that moment, Brilly and I split up to go back to our respective tasks. As for me, I went back home, but unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't good.
"What happened to Elle?" I asked.
"She saw, Mark. He and his flock invaded us here," Ethan said.
"Ethan, if you do me a favor, Then I can change Elle's vision too," I said. Suddenly, Cassandra, who had read my mind first, looked at me in surprise.
"Ethan, he found it," Cassandra muttered.
"What? What's the answer?" confused Ethan.
"I'm going to the elders' place; make Niel visit me there with this big news. I'm sure he'll be interested in meeting me there," I said.
"Jasper, are you sure this isn't the way to your own grave?" Ethan asked.
"No, I'm sure Niel will meet me with news this time," I said.
"Ethan, Jasper found Mark's weakness."
