JOYCE'S POV
I hastened back home because I needed to speak with my brother about what Cairo mentioned regarding the wedding. We never discussed it, and I had no intention of getting married to him whatsoever.
I was furious when I arrived at my brother's mansion because of what Cairo told me, that we were supposedly getting married. Fortunately, I caught Cairo talking to my brother because he was really going to face my wrath. They quickly approached me, and I delivered a strong slap to Cairo's face for lying to Hugo.
"JOYCE!" my brother shouted loudly after I slapped Cairo. I was seething with anger because I couldn't believe they would do this to me.
"Who gave you the right to meddle in my life? Who gave you the right to tell anyone that we're getting married when it's not true, huh?"
