Chapter 5: New Plaything

1386 Words
HUGO’S POV That woman really thinks she can sway me with her tears. She's just like my worthless ex-girlfriend, who only wanted money from wealthy people like me. I glanced at my friends, who were happily drinking. We are leaving tonight, flying to Milan for our confrontation with that old Salvatore. Right now, I need to take care of my kids and spend time with them before we leave. I was a bit affected by what that woman said last night. Does she think I don't care about my children, and that I'm not being a father to them? She better not push me, or I might just kick her out. I love my children, and I would do anything for them. If only Chantelle hadn't left our lives. I was willing to give her a chance to be a part of my life, but life was so cruel. I was already there. I had fallen in love with her, but I couldn't understand why she had to die. I did everything I could to save her life, but there was nothing I could do to keep her alive any longer. When I lost her, I was devastated and hurt. The worst thing that ever happened to me was that I never had the opportunity to show her how much I loved her. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to love again. I first fell in love with Maria, a woman I thought truly loved me, but she only deceived me and used me for money. When I discovered the whole truth, I nearly killed her. I joined my grandfather's organization, and when Marcus became the leader, he appointed me as his right-hand man. I joined The Venum Organization to avenge Maria, but when I found out she'd been in an accident and was unable to walk again, I decided that was enough retaliation. Maria slipped my mind, and I've never trusted women like her since. They are all con artists who want money from me, in my opinion. Until I met Chantelle, the mother of my children. I grew to love her gradually, but fate was callous because she died of a severe illness. I tried everything to keep her alive, but I failed. Because of what happened to me, I feel as if I'm going insane. Then Joyce arrived, and I could tell she was interested in me, but I will never trust people like her again. I know she's only interested in my money, just like Maria, so she's mistaken if she thinks she can get my attention. I'm not going to be duped again, and I'm not going to love any woman again, especially not Joyce. I knew Marcus was aware of my feelings for Chantelle, especially after I left and went to UK to find the best doctors for her. But they all said that the woman, the love of my life, would not live much longer, and there was nothing I could do to help her. I had come to terms with the fact that she was no longer with us, but I will never forget her. She'll always be in my heart. If Joyce and I get a chance, I'll only want her for her body, not her heart. I'll break her down until there's nothing left of her dignity, then toss her aside like a used rag. "Bro, are you okay? You've been pretty quiet over there for a while," Marcus asked. I looked at them, busy with their drinking and watching a movie on the large, flat-screen TV in front of us. "Yeah, I just remembered something. Refill my glass with liquor," I replied. He just laughed at me, so I frowned at him, and he pointed at the glass I was holding, which was still full. I let out a forced laugh while they all stared at me. "You seem to be deep in thought, huh? Is there anything we can help with?" Marcus said. I took a deep breath and downed the glass I was holding, which was filled with liquor, while staring intently at the TV even though I didn't understand the show because my attention wasn't there. "Chantelle?" Julian asked, so I looked at him, grinned, and shook my head while they waited for my response. "Does it still matter what I'm thinking about her now? She's gone. She left her children. She left me. Just when I loved her, she was taken from me," I said. "Taken from you? Was it an eagle that took her? Let's find that eagle and teach it a lesson. Of all the people to snatch, it had to be Chantelle," my foolish cousin said. "Crazy, not an eagle! Probably a monster," Josh replied, which made me furrow my brows. My friends are real idiots. I'm here being emotional, and they're mixing it with nonsense. We stopped our conversation when Joyce passed in front of us. I stared at her, glanced at her fair legs, and laughed awkwardly. "Are you seducing me?" I asked her, which surprised her, and she almost dropped the folded clothes of my children she was holding. "W-What? N-No sir! I have no intention, and if I were to seduce someone, it wouldn't be you," she said, covering her mouth with one hand. I raised both my eyebrows at her words, and I shook my head. "So you're not her type. You're too presumptuous, cousin," Marcus said to me, which annoyed me even more as my friends laughed. This woman is really trying to anger me. I quickly approached Joyce, which startled her, and I stood in front of her. I saw her swallow hard, and I could see her weakening, especially as she smelled my breath. I ran a finger down her smooth shoulder to her arm and whispered in her ear, "I want to have s*x with you." I saw her face gradually turn red as she bowed her head. "I'll go upstairs now, excuse me," she stammered, so I grinned, slightly brushing my finger against her chest, which surprised her, so she quickly ran to the second floor. "Dude! You're too much! Don't scare your kids' nanny," Josh said, which made me chuckle softly as I watched Joyce walk away. I looked at Marcus, who was just staring at me, so I gave him a grin. I glanced back at the stairs, but Joyce was no longer there, so I returned to my seat. I'll admit that the scent of her breath, her body, and the softness of her skin is enticing, as if it would be delightful to caress every inch of her body with my tongue. It seems like I'll be visiting more often. it looks like I've found a new toy. I didn't even notice I was grinning to myself, which made my friends burst into loud laughter. "You're something else, bro! It seems you have a thing for your nanny now, right?" Julian teased. "I want to taste her. Her breath is sweet, and her skin is incredibly soft," I said, looking upstairs again as if hoping to catch another glimpse of my children's nanny. "I'll just check on my kids while you guys stay here," I told them, and they erupted into loud teasing. "Do you have a condom with you? Just let me know. I always have extras in my wallet," Sammy said, and they all laughed. I ignored them and quickly headed upstairs. The door to my children's room was closed, and when I opened it, I was surprised to see the three nannies chatting inside. They were startled to see me, but they didn't realize I was even more surprised. I hadn't expected all of them to be in my children's room. "Do you need anything, sir?" one of the nannies asked. I looked at Joyce, who couldn't meet my gaze. "Joyce, please pack my luggage from my room. We're going to Milan, and I need to take some things with me. Go ahead, I'll be downstairs," I said, closing the door to my children's room. I quickly entered my room and hid in the bathroom so that I could surprise her when she entered my walk-in closet. Let's see if she doesn't lose her mind with what I'm planning.
