JOYCE’S POV
While we were walking downtown, my sister kept glancing around nervously, so I glanced at her.
“Sis, that guy has been following us,” my sister said. I looked behind me but didn’t see anyone.
“Who are you talking about, Celestina?” I asked my sister.
“Joyce, the one in the blue hoodie and black baseball cap,” she said, so I scanned the area. I noticed a man matching Celestina’s description sitting by the fountain, bent over, but he was on the phone and seemed to be talking to someone.
“If that’s who you’re talking about, I don’t think he’s following us. You’re just being paranoid,” I said, laughing at my sister.
We were walking downtown because we had an errand. We were heading back to the parking lot to go home, and my sister kept noticing things.
