False Saety

I gasp scooting away momentarily afraid. After the aftershock wore off my body eased but just slightly. Lucian breaks the tense silence “I understand that you have no reason to trust me nor would since we are not family but here I am asking for such a thing.” My eyes narrow “What’s in it for you?“ Lucian sighs, tuning his right hand through his luscious head full of hair averting his gaze in the process “Unlike the rest of our kind I seek redemption of loud wrongs.” I tilt my head to the side “You do realize that I’m still a minor right?” His eyes widened in disbelief “Seriously?!; and you’ve evaded Hasmine all this time?” I just shrug my shoulders “Not exactly.” Thispeeks his curiosity quickly pulling a chair up to the side of the bed. I scratched the back of my neck uncomfortable with the impending discussion, but sigh in defeat knowing sooner or later IId have to spill the beans; I guess I was hoping for the latter instead. Lucian sets there in anticipation I shake my head before beginning “I honestly don’t know how it’s supposed to go but what I do know that once I turn 18 that some sort of bridge is made which makes a connection on my first turn, but if I meet my fated mate who accepts me then some unheard of occurrence take place as well.” He scratches his chin in contemplation “So you're going off of what exactly?”I glared at him deadpaningly “Wow, such blaring enthusiasm.” “What? You literally stated in your own words that you're clueless.” I shake my head “Thanks captain obvious it's not like I failed to acknowledge this beforehand.” Lucian groans lazily plops backwards into his seat disheartenedly I sigh subbing the side of my face “Look it's clear why I’d withhold any information so if you really want to know something all I ask is if you’ll be patient with me in the meantime.” Lucian’s face brightens up “It would be an honor to have you as a part of this pack.” I stare at him slack jaw, unable to process his statement. He smiles his grisly wide smile “I’d even take you under my wing as my daughter….” He quickly raises his hands defensively continuing hastily “That’s if you’d like to that is.” I smile nodding my head in response. A month later I swing my bare feet back and forth enjoying the feel of my toes brushing over the surface as the warmth of the sun streams us across my exposed skin. I close my eyes tilting my head back talking in the breeze along with its gentle soothing smells. For instance the lake water, the fish sighing the trees, the grass, the animals for liking nearby. “Hey munchkin whatcha up to?” I smile at Lucians fatherly side “So what’s up pops fluff?” Lucian cringes from my nickname for him; I mean the man has even pleaded for me to come up with something else but as fate would have it his mate Darla adores it. When Lucian brought me back to his home Darla instantly fell in love with me being their pup especially since they haven’t been successful thus far. I've learned that they’ve been mates for thirty some odd years now along with the fact that Lucian and Darla were once friends to my family until betraying them so yeah that last one took a little while to swallow down. Lucian pops a squat next to me, bumping his shoulder to mine gently.” What’s on your mind kiddo because I know it's not boys… well at least not yet that is.” I giggle while he shakes away his shiver. My light laughter dies down “Everyone is at risk as long as I’m here, not including that risk grows greater by the second.” Lucian places a firm grip onto my shoulder “Sweetie this whole pack understands as well as accepts the risks for you to be here.” I couldn't help the tears streaming down my face, overwhelmed by everyone’s genuine care. I Barry my face into his neck as we huge sniffed my next sentence “I’d never forgive myself if anything ever happened to this pack.” Lucian pulls me to him tightly yet soothing me at the sametime “Shh, sweet girl I promise everything will work out.” Five minutes later we’re walking side by side shoving each other every so often as we joke around stalling back to his place. Lucian’s playful demeanor vanishes instantly walking onto the front lawn of his home. I stop beside him glancing up to see a darkened house with an open door and a couple of smashed windows. Lucian growls stepping in front of me protectively “Run to the pack house now.” I whimper but reluctantly obey. I turn then run as fast as my legs allow me to go. It felt like hours later when in all actuality it was a minute and a half later when I reached the pack house only to slide to a stop gasping at the scene before me. The air is filled with the potent smell of iron then there were the sealing screams. The pack house was on fire with random people on fire trying to put out the flames while others were fighting Rouge’s.Tears streamed down my face all over again with a vengeance. My eyes land on Jasmine as Raven falls to the ground whimpering. Both of us grunt from the impact landing on the ground with a thud. She immediately strikes her front at my stomach kicking causing me to fly over her landing on my back which knocks the wind out of me. I jump to my feet in an attack position all the while Jasmine is circling me. At that moment I knew one of us was more than likely not going to survive. With that in mind the only thing I cared about was this pack well then and ending Jasmine’s life. Jasmine barks out in laughter “So the pipsqueak finally shows her face I see.” I growl which only irritates Jasmine further. Crouch low to the ground in anticipation. Before I knew it the moon reached its peak shining with all its glory. I shiver as the cool air brushes against my exposed skin along the while as this foreign feeling begins to build up from the bottom of my stomach spreading throughout my entire body. I stood in place puzzled “Wait, I'm only fifthteen.” My head suddenly starts thudding causing my vision to blur. I fall to my knees fluttering my head screaming. My skin feels as though it's burning with the additional effect of shin crawling itching like crazy. I wither around in unbearable pain. Everything around me vanishes leaving me all alone in the yard. My pain suddenly halts. I take in my surroundings panting heavily. Everything looks the same besides the vacancy of people as well as the difference of color I see everything is now. I climb to my feet aimlessly walking around. I’d gladly admit how breathtaking the place truly is when it’s peaceful. I scratch my head “Well what the hell is going on?” I jump at the sound of her ethereally majestic voice soothing as it may be. Either way I was frightened shitless. I quickly turn to face the mysterious female with a hand held firmly over my heart only to come face to face with the most gorgeous woman I have ever laid my eyes upon. She looked to be in between her twenties or thirties. Her hair is ridiculously long as well as beautiful. Its silky white locks flow freely reaching her feet. Her cream skin is accented by her long flowing white dress. The dress was sleeveless with a low v cut showing off the tops of her plump bosoms. Her eyes shined with ice blue and hidden golden flakes. Her whole demeanor screamed motherly. As she slowly stalks closer I notice a slit starting from her upper right thigh stopping at the bottom of her dress. My jaw drops, unable to fully soak in her beauty as she stands before me. Her smile somehow adds to her beauty “There is no need to fear me child.” I stare blankly back at her failing to form a proper sentience “Ummm..I….well……..” Her laugh sounds like music to my ears. I shake my head in order to shake the fog “I’m sorry but could you tell me who you are by chance?” Her brightly lit eyes dims a little “It is I who should be apologizing to you for I have failed to protect you along with your family.” I scratch the back of my neck “Um ok, but you still haven’t told me who you are.” Her face morphs not one of melancholy “I am the moon goddess, your ancestor.” My once calm Demi or spontaneously morphs into one of rage “Seriously?!” The Goddess shakes her head as I continue to blow up “Out of all the families I could have been apart you stick me into your’s!” I could tell she was trying her best not to blow up in the process as well “Please calm down child.” Of course I just ignored the obvious warning signs “To hell with that!” I notice her eyes change, adding a little more gold “Don’t push it.” I reluctantly obey her sighing. I decide to take a different approach “Please forgive me, I guess everything my family and I have gone through has taken a harder toll than I must have realized.” She looks away saddened “I had great things planned for you along with your family, but I guess sister Fate had other plans.” I look around once again when my attention is brought back to the present “What siste fate hinders shall not be stopped.” “So could you tell me what’s going on?” The Goddess nods her head “Not all my children wish for your untimely demise nor is it your fate to die at such a young age.” I shrug and brush it off thinking that Fate has dictated otherwise “You say that but how could there be any other way for me let alone this family to survive this living hell?” The Goddess takes a step backwards genuinely thinking. She also lifts her dominant hand rubbing her chin all the while her elbow rests on her opposite arm that's resting across her body just below her bosom. She also lifts her dominant hand rubbing her chin all the while her elbow rests on her opposite arm that's resting across her body just below her bosom. The next thing I knew the Goddess was pacing back and forth. The oddest thing was it appeared that she was flowing swiftly. I lose all train of thought transfixed on the Moon Goddess instead. I failed to register her poundering raging thoughts “I suppose you could train…..no no that won't do the pack your with right now is in turmoil at the moment it’ll take too long for any good to come.” She passes me several times coming up with ideas then shooting them down yet the only thing I am focused on is the Moon Goddess. Well that was until she abruptly stopped her pacing right in front of me, swiveling on her heels to face me “AH HA! I’ve got it!” She rushes up to me cupping my face with both her hands smiling lovingly to me “My child you must do more than build yourself up you must make the supernatural world whole again and build our community up from the floor up.” I c**k a brow up questioningly “And how do you suppose for me to achieve such an impossible goal?” The Goddess snorts as though the answer is obvious as day “First you must survive your battle with Jasmine then work your way up by gathering comrades who share the same views as you although these comrades will also aid in your growth.” I nod in agreement clapping my hands together once then rubbing them together “Ok now let’s get this s**t show on the road.”
