Juandre smiled shyly as he walked towards the door. "Okay, I'll be in the meeting room by 9 sharp. Make sure everything goes smoothly," he ordered Kira before closing the door.
Curious, Juandre turned to Javier and asked, "Why are you here, though?" as Javier curiously touched the exquisite showpieces on Juandre's desk.
"Oh, right. I'm here to give you this pasta that your maid asked me to deliver," Javier explained as he handed the bag of food to Juandre.
"She asked you to do it? Well, it must be the last time you see her," Juandre remarked as he took the bag and set it aside.
"No, please don't fire her. I wanted to go out anyway so It wasn't much of a burden," Javier pleaded, his innocent puppy eyes pleading his case.
Juandre smiled at his innocence and nodded in agreement.
As Javier prepared to leave the office, Juandre called out from behind, "I've hired some bodyguards for you. Make sure you don't go anywhere without them."
Javier smiled slightly, nodding, and left the cabin, his thoughts swirling with the spicy encounter that had just transpired.
As Thyra confidently strutted out of Juandre's office, she accidentally collided with Mark, causing her belongings to scatter in all directions. Thyra glared at Mark with annoyance written all over her face.
"Are you blind or something? What's your deal?" she shouted, her voice dripping with irritation. Little did she know, Mark was utterly captivated by Thyra's presence. In his eyes, she was the epitome of perfection.
"I... I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to cause a calamity," Mark stammered as he noticed Thyra's ID card on the ground. Curiosity got the better of him as he picked it up and noticed something peculiar. "Hey, why isn't your cast mentioned here?"
Snatching her ID card back, Thyra shot Mark a look of disbelief. Mark, undeterred, simply smiled at her, unable to hide his infatuation. As Mark started to walk away, he spotted Javier approaching and couldn't resist throwing a playful jab.
"Well, well, well, look who's here to meet the love of their life," Mark chuckled, clearly teasing Javier.
"Shh, enough nonsense," Javier warned, his face flushing slightly with embarrassment.
"Oh, Javier, do you happen to know the gorgeous ginger-haired girl who just passed by? Her name is-" Before Mark could recall her name, Javier interrupted him.
"Thyra," Javier guessed with a wry smile.
"Yes, Thyra! She's stunning, man. Can you hook me up with her phone number?" Mark pleaded, hoping for Javier's assistance.
"She's my stepsister, you-" Javier began, but before he could finish, Mark cut him off with a mischievous grin.
"Oh wow, even better! That means we'll be family if things work out," Mark exclaimed, a hint of mischief in his eyes.
"Alright, alright," Javier gave in, a devious smile forming. "I'll give you her number. I've been itching for some revenge anyway." Javier couldn't resist the opportunity to annoy his sister, even if it meant playing along with Mark's antics.
Upon Javier's return, he once again found himself colliding with the same group of people. However, before this group could proceed further, the sound of a piercing police siren echoed the empty street. In a panic, everyone began to scatter, but Javier's curiosity got the best of him, leading him to follow the only female member of the group, as she exuded a wierd mysterious aura.
While chasing after her, Javier soon discovered that her group mates had ran off in a different direction, leaving them both alone in an unfamiliar area. Suddenly, without warning, the woman tripped over a discarded can, losing her balance and tumbling to the ground. Reacting swiftly, Javier rushed to her side, removing her mask in an attempt to reveal her identity. In the brief moment that their eyes locked, the rest of the group approached, giving the woman the opportunity to make her escape successfully.
As Javier arrived at home, his mind was consumed by the image of the enigmatic girl. Determined to uncover her secrets, he resolved to visit his university and search through the badge's album in hopes of finally learning her true identity. Upon entering the campus, a wave of nostalgia washed over him, prompting him to enter into the office where previous badges were stored for safekeeping. Amidst shelves bursting with memories, Javier eventually stumbled upon the album containing his own badge, flipping through the pages until he stumbled upon her name. Suddenly, it all clicked together in his mind; he remembered seeing her with Andriel, when Javier's personal photos were leaked all over the university , he also remembered that this girl used to bully him and Andriel cheated on Javier with her.
Lost in thought, Javier made his way back home, unaware that the very person who had caused his heartbreak was still trailing behind him, making him realize that he has not escaped his miserable past. Little did he know that this mysterious woman was not only the reason behind their breakup, but also has many different motives.
THYRA'S POV:
"Hello? Who is this?" Thyra curiously inquired upon answering the call from an unfamiliar number.
"The blind guy you bumped into this morning!" Mark exclaimed, a playful tone evident in his voice as he delightedly reminisced about their encounter.
"Hey, you! How on earth did you get my number?" Thyra fired back, a mixture of astonishment and annoyance coursing through her veins.
"Apologies for the intrusion, but ever since I laid eyes on you this morning, I've been hopelessly lost in thoughts about you, Thyra. Can we perhaps grab a cup of coffee together?" Mark pleaded, hoping to receive a positive response from her.
"Hmm, interesting. Well, I suppose I can give you a chance," Thyra replied, her skepticism slowly transforming into a flicker of belief in Mark's sincerity.
"Yes! I mean... I apologize for my overexcitement," Mark stuttered, feeling a rush of embarrassment for revealing his eagerness. Thyra couldn't help but chuckle at his enthusiasm before playfully ending the call.
JAVIER'S POV:
Javier sat at the kitchen table, sipping his coffee while glancing at the clock. It was already 11 am, and Juandre was still nowhere to be found. A hint of worry crept into Javier's thoughts as he made his way downstairs, hoping to come across Juandre.
As he roamed around the house, Javier stumbled upon a hidden room behind the swimming pool. Curiosity piqued, he cautiously entered and was greeted by the sight of a shirtless Juandre, his muscles glistening with sweat as he intensely boxed, his heavy breathing filling the room. Javier couldn't tear his gaze away from Juandre's perfectly sculpted physique. His eyes trailed down, catching sight of a large scar adorning Juandre's side near his kidney. Javier swallowed hard, finally gathering the courage to speak.
"I... you didn't let me know you were back," Javier stuttered in a soft, alluring voice as he slowly approached Juandre.
"And why should I inform you? Who exactly are you to me?" Juandre retorted, his voice laced with an icy, distant tone, his focus never wavering as he continued to unleash his fury on the punching bag.
Feeling dejected, Javier cast his eyes downward, realizing he had interrupted Juandre. He quietly retreated to his room, but just as he settled in, a sudden power outage plunged the house into darkness. Remembering Juandre's nyctophobia, Javier mustered the courage to check on him. Entering the room, he found Juandre leaning heavily on the punching bag, drenched in sweat, and on the verge of collapsing. Juandre's mind was flooded with painful memories, his head throbbing with anguish. But he mustered the strength to stand and stagger back to his room, only to stumble over a water bottle on the ground. Just before he could hit the floor in a sorry heap, Javier swiftly caught him, a reassuring presence.
"Take it easy. I'm here. Breathe slowly," Javier whispered, his voice a soothing melody, as he tightened his grip on Juandre's trembling body.
Checking Juandre's pulse, Javier realized it was irregular and erratic. Doing his best to calm Juandre's racing heart, he stayed by his side. Suddenly, Juandre lost consciousness, and to Javier's relief, the guards appeared to help carry Juandre back to his room.
Javier tenderly placed a cool cloth on Juandre's feverish forehead, attentively tending to his needs. Exhaustion eventually overcame him, and he fell asleep beside Juandre on the bed, their bodies finding solace in proximity.
The next morning, around 6 am, as Juandre slowly opened his eyes, he was greeted with the sight of Javier sleeping soundly beside him. A hint of surprise flickered in Juandre's gaze, but as he met Javier's concerned eyes, he found himself at a loss for words. There was something about the worry etched on Javier's face that made it difficult for Juandre to respond coldly this time. He became lost in Javier's deep, captivating green eyes, his heart beginning to race.
"I...I think I'll go take a shower," Juandre hesitantly murmured, breaking eye contact abruptly, and hastening to get out of bed. His heart pounded fiercely within him, unsure of the emotions swirling in his chest.
