The Alpha's Daughter

Chapter 3

When school was done, I grabbed my backpack from my locker and went to Lauren's car. She wasn't there so I just laid against her car and took out my iPod Touch to listen to We'll Be a Dream by We The Kings and Demi Lovato.

I saw a human girl run up to me and I turned to her. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She looked breathless and panted the next sentence. I giggled and she playfully glared at me.

"Your brother...is in...another...fight." she said and I shook my head. He's always in a fight because the true wolf in a werewolf comes to you when you're 16. He's a new werewolf and there really rowdy. The principal said if he got in one more fight, he'll get suspended and then Dad will blame me for not controlling him.

"Where is he?" I asked her and she regained her breathing.

"Behind the school." She said and I nodded. He would do it right behind the school where he can easily get caught.

"K. Thanks." I said and I sprinted to the back of the school. This school was huge and long but I was used to running long distances. This was actually a very small distance than what I usually run. I wanted to phase into my wolf but that wouldn't be smart.

I made it to the back and saw a huge crowd of students in a circle. Some were wolves like I was and they stood and watched instead of breaking it up. I talked to them mentally. 'Go home. I'll talk to you at the next meeting.' They all looked at me and they saw me looking pissed. They looked ashamed and ran to the woods. We lived in the Northern part of California and all our homes were in the middle of the forest.

I walked through the huge crowd and finally made it to the small area inside. Sean was fighting John. He was a wolf too with blonde hair and gray eyes. They were both shirtless and I saw the girls staring. The boys were whooping for them to continue.

I stepped up and they moved. John almost hit me and I quietly growled with my wolf. They probably didn't hear me because of all the people yelling behind me. John punched Sean in the stomach while Sean punched him on the jaw. I was trying to figure a way to stop it. I just gave up and decided to just go in and stop it.

I stepped in as they were grabbing each other. I grabbed their shoulders and pulled them away using my wolf. Yeah, when someone turns Alpha, they have more strength in them but only use it when needed. They almost fell but I kept them up. I heard groans about why I stopped the fight but I didn't care.

"Come with me." I said in Alpha mode. I just grabbed them by their shirts and pulled them away from the crowd. I picked up their backpacks and shoved it at them. They held on to it and I continued to pull them away by their shirts.

"Why do you have to mess up the fun?" a whiny girl said. I turned around to see a brunette human and she had her hands on her hips. I was not in the mood to fight with her and I had to talk to these two. So I kept walking. "Hey, I was talking to you, bitch." She said and I turned around. I walked right in front of her and her eyes became nervous.

"Shut the hell up or you and me will be in a fight." I said ferociously and she backed away. My wolf laughed. I turned around and grabbed the two boys by their shirts to lead them to Lauren's car. When we walked around the corner, I saw that Lauren was there with George. When they saw Sean and John, their eyes widened.

"What happened?" Lauren said as I took of the boy's backpacks off their shoulders.

"I tell you when I figure out but right now, take their stuff home. We're walking home." I said still in my Alpha tone. Lauren nodded as I put their stuff in her backseat.

"What? I'm not walking home! I don't want to!" Sean said. He better be thankful I can't make him listen to me in my Alpha tone but he will listen to his big sister. I looked at him with a murderous glare and I felt myself shaking.

"I don't give a f**k what you want to do. Now come on." I said walking away with John. I heard footsteps behind me and I looked to see an annoyed Sean behind me. He knew that if he argued more, we would be wolves fighting in the school parking lot.

When we reached deep into the woods silently, we shifted into wolves. I might be short in my human form but I'm 9 feet when I'm a wolf like my dad. My brother is 8'5 like my mom and everyone else is 8 feet or shorter. I had auburn fur and dark brown eyes. Sean had almost black fur and black eyes. John had white fur and dark gray eyes.

We walked through the woods and I started talking. To a human, it would sound like a bark but we can understand each other as if we were speaking the same language.

"What happened, John?" I barked.

"Why does he get to go first?" Sean barked at me. I bit his ear and he howled in pain.

"'Cause I said to. Now talk back to me again and I'll rip your ear all the way off." I barked and looked at him. My wolf growled at me to calm down. She wanted me to be nice because he is my brother. I sighed and did as she said. Sean looked at the ground and I continued. "John?" John looked at me and started.

"Well, I was walking home like usual with Ray and my mate Sarah. Well, Sean had the nerve to start talking about Sarah. He said she was a slut and she doesn't deserve anything. He thought he was out of hearing range and said it to Dan." He said and I looked at Sean like he was crazy. Sean just looked at the ground and John was looking forward.

"Why would you say that?! You know you are never supposed to talk about someone's mate!" I barked and Sean turned to me.

"The human dudes on the football team thought it would be funny to make fun of her because she used to be a slut before John came along." He said and I heard a growl from John. I turned to him and gave him a look to be quiet. He did and I turned back to Sean.

"Well, Sean, you're grounded for 2 weeks and both of you are excluded from tomorrow's meeting." I said holding my head high.

"What?" they exclaimed at the same time. "I didn't do anything." John said looking at me. Everyone likes the meetings because it was fun and a night where you don't have to worry about anything.

"And you can't ground me!" Sean said. I looked forward and ignored their disrespect. We were almost to the village. The Alpha's house was in the middle with the Beta's outside of it. The others were around that.

"You both fought in front of humans. You could have easily turned wolf. Sean, I can ground you because when mom and dad figure out you were in another fight, their going to ground you and not let you go to the meeting either." I said and he sighed. He knew I was right and he couldn't do anything about it. "And John, I know it was for your mate but if you turned wolf, the whole pack would be in trouble." John looked at the ground.

We entered the village after that and I let John go home. Sean and I made our way home in our wolf form. People waved or bowed in respect. I never really liked that but they would still do it even if you tell them not to.

We walked up and I saw my house. It was 1 floor but very pretty. Most of the walls were glass and it had a small pond to the right of it. That was where the front door was too. Around the pond were huge rocks and all type of plants around it. It was pretty and peaceful place to be.

Sean and I shifted back to our human form and walked onto the porch. I was happy that our clothes stay on when we change. I don't know how but it just does. That means I don't have to go shopping to get new ones. I like to phase a lot. It comes with the Alpha package too.

We walked in with my bloody brother behind me. I walked down the hall to the kitchen. Mom was in there washing the dishes. "Um, mom where is the first aid kit?" I said and she turned to me confused. Then she saw Sean and her eyes narrowed with her hands on her hips. Sean shifted uncomfortably under the glare and I stifled a laugh.

"It's in the bathroom. Top right cabinet." She said still glaring at Sean. I went down the hallway and got it. When I came back, Sean was sitting at the table and Mom was looking at Sean's bloody nose.

"I got it." I said walking over and helping him with his injuries.

"What happened?" Mom said going back to the dishes.

"Sean was talking about someone's mate and got in a fight again. Don't worry. I grounded him and he's not going to the next meeting like the other boy." I said treating his busted lip.

"Why can't the other boy go to the meeting?" she asked looking at me.

"He fought with him when humans were around. They could have easily turned wolf." I said simply.

"Well, I can understand why he would fight him there. Sean talked about his mate." She said walking over to Sean and me. I continued to work on Sean.

"Yes but he needs to learn that anything can set his wolf off anywhere and he needs to learn that he has to control it." I said and she put her hands on her hips.

"Yes but Sean talked about his mate. This other boy just defended his mate." She said louder and I stood up.

"Yes but they should have moved to the woods to fight at least. They were near the woods. They fought behind the school where all the humans hang out after school." I said crossing my arms.

"You just don't understand. You don't have a mate so you wouldn't know what it would feel like." Mom said and my wolf whined. My lips parted and her eyes turned apologetic. "I'm sorry. That just came out." She said and I looked down. I turned back to Sean and finished cleaning him up. It was silent after that and I wanted to cry. My mom brought up the most sensitive subject and it hurt me.

I felt tears in my eyes build and my sight turned blurry but I made sure none escaped. Sean looked at me with apologetic eyes and I heard him whimper. I gave him a fake smile and stood up. "You're done." I said and I walked outside. I saw that it was sunset and I looked at it as it went down behind the trees. I picked up my backpack that Lauren dropped off a while ago and went to a rock by the pond.

I sat down and took off my shoes. I put my feet in the water and took out my homework. Once I was done, I saw that it was dark outside. My eyes didn't feel the difference because I can always see great. I put my books away and threw my backpack on the porch. I turned to the woods and I could feel that my wolf wanted to take a run but I have to get my brother for our shift to watch the perimeter.
