Emery's pov
“Huh? How do you know my name?” I questioned. I was completely astonished when he called out my name from nowhere. Apart from my close relatives and acquaintances, nobody else knows or should know my name.
“Aren’t you the betrothed of Alpha Silas? Or should I say… was.” He grinned a little before taking out a cigar from God-knows-where and putting it in his mouth. Just this little exchange and my impression of him was nowhere near good. He really knew how to hit people where it hurts.
‘But wait… how does he know all this? How is it possible that he knows of the personal issues inside the mansion. Is he a spy? Probably Alora’s spy. But he’s an Alpha… what’s going on.’ My mind went through a flurry of thoughts as I tried to figure out this man’s identity.
