Royal Wedding

Tears bloomed fresh, spilling down my cheeks. "I need you to know something first," I insisted. He held a breath and gave a nod. "I think I'm pregnant Will." He gasped, dropping the box to his feet as he reached a shaky hand out to my stomach. I placed mine over his hand lightly. He looked up at me with tears in his eyes. "Brisa this is wondrous news. I'm going to be a father," he grinned. "When will you know for sure? Do you need a doctor brought here? Are you feeling well, resting enough?" "Will I'm fine," I smiled lovingly. I'd been praying he'd return and be happy with the news. "I'll know for sure in a few more weeks." "We should arrange for a doctor just in case," he insisted. "Will," I breathed. His eyes came to mine. "I will marry you." "Seems I'm just in time," an old man said as he climbed the steps. "Sire," he bowed. "Thank you for coming, Abbott," Will smirked. "Go change Brisa." "You planned our wedding for today?" I asked in awe. "The moment I returned to you I wanted to do so as your husband," Will said with absolute certainty. I lifted the box, giving him a nod as I went upstairs to get changed. The gown was beautifully cut cupping and lifting my breasts before spreading out around my waist in light layers. I released the tie on my hair letting my curls fall down in springy waves. With a nod to my reflection I went to the stairs. I froze at the sight of Will in his royal attire. His eyes locked on mine and I blushed. Behind him was the Abbot from earlier but what startled me were the man and woman to his left. The king and queen! I bowed to them. "Greetings your Royal Highnesses." "Don't be shy sweet girl," the Queen called. "We only wished to thank you for saving our son and to give our blessing to this union." "When Will returned to us it was clear he only thought of returning to you but after hearing his tale I felt it was for the best he personally handled the punishments of your father, the bandits and then we would travel to meet you." "You wished to meet me?" I repeated in confusion. "Oh yes," the Queen smirked, climbing the stairs holding out her hand to me. She had the same soft caramel colored eyes Will did. I took her hand letting her lead me down the stairs. "You are truly a beauty," she cooed. "I wanted to meet the girl who broke my son's curse but more so to see the one he finally fell in love with." "Mom," he groaned in embarrassment making me smirk. "Allow us the privilege to witness your nuptials," the King agreed with a wink. "I only ask that you make this old king one promise." "Sire?" "Visit with him next time. He drove me nuts, acting all brooding and melancholy these last few weeks," he said with a boisterous laugh at Will's blush. "Visit especially often when our grandchild arrives," the Queen whispered against my ear making me gasp. "Mother, what did you say to her?" Will demanded. "Girl secret," she giggled, placing my hand in his. "Abbott if you please." She walked to the King whispering to him. He grinned brightly. Will let out a sigh giving me a hopeless look that made me laugh. I never thought when I climbed in that carriage it would lead to my standing before the Queen and King marrying an honest to god prince but these weeks apart made me certain I never wanted to be without him again.
