Chapter 2: First day being Mrs. Williams or not!

Ciara’s POV

“ And by the power bestowed in me, I now pronounce you husband and the wife” I heard the priest say

“You may now kiss the bride” I felt hesitant but Walter pulled me in his arms and pressed his lips on mine.

His lips were warm and gentle, parting my lips as he deepened the kiss.

I was shocked, like a strike of thunder and lightning, my brain froze as well as my whole body.

I know what's on your mind now. I thought you said you weren't going to marry him. What happened?

Well, one week later I was thrown out of school and after outsourcing for random jobs for 2 weeks I decided to consider the offer.

I really wanted to continue my schooling. I did a little research on him with the card he gave me and found out his name is Walter Williams.

He was a self made young billionaire and the most wanted bachelor in New York.

I went to the address on the card and signed all the necessary documents a few days ago. And now, I'm Mrs Williams. I guess

I didn't know how I felt about it tho, but I had a feeling it was the start of something new.

Whatever it was, I was ready for it as long as I got to finish college then I would divorce him and get a good-paying job.

The wedding was done in the court with just both of us and his entourage in attendance.

Walter said he wanted a low-key wedding which was good because I hated high profile gatherings.

I signed as we got into the car. I was glad it was finally over.

Now it was time for the wedding night. I wondered what was going to happen on our wedding night.

Was he going to have s*x with me again. He definitely married me for a reason and I wondered what it was.

Was it for s*x?

I looked over at Walter. He hasn't said a single word since we left the court. He seemed lost in his own world.

The ride was long and lasted for hours passing a lot of security interlocks.

It seemed they knew him so he didn't have to say anything before they allowed him go through.

We rode in dead silence and didn't even steal a glance at each other. I wondered where we were going, why was his house in such a secluded place.

The car finally came to a stop at a big magnificent house. It was so beautiful.

Walter got out and I followed behind, I couldn't but notice that his countenance had changed.

There was this aura that made me feel I might have made a costly mistake.

We got into the house and we were greeted by a man. He was in his mid 40s, he has little grey hair and blue eyes.

The butler.

The house was dead silent and every single furniture in it was painted black. An intense fear gripped me at the sight. It was terrible.

“Jade!!” Walter shouted but no reply. He pulled off his watch and got rather angrier seeing he was being ignored.

“Jade!” He called louder, making me flinch.

“Yes master” a beautiful young girl emerged from the kitchen and knelt down in front of him. The girl trembled in fear.

I was so confused. Why was she kneeling?Why was she so scared? I had a feeling I was about to find out.

“Get up, pack everything you have and leave. You have a new replacement “ he said firmly with his hands in his pockets while looking straight at the wall.

The young girl looked at him in shock and then at me. I saw a mixture of joy and pity in her eyes, and before he could utter another word. She ran into a room probably to pack her things.

Oh God what have I married? Why on earth will he treat his staffs this way? Maybe I’ll be able to change him.

“Tim, show the new maid her room” he ordered and he walked away.

I attempted to follow him while probably scanning the room to look for the new maid but was stopped by Tim the butler.

“This way Ma’am” he pointed to the direction the maid was coming from with her bags already packed.

She gave me a pitiful look as she passed me.

That was when it dawned on me.

I’m the new maid!

“What the f**k Walter! But this wasn’t our agreement” I screamed, making Walter stop dead on his track as he turned to me.

“What agreement are you referring to?” He let out a little laugh while rubbing his palm together.

“The one you were too gullible to sign without reading?”

“Tim?” he called

Tim brought out the document and handed it over to me and for the first time I read through it and couldn't believe my eyes.

This wasn't just a contract marriage, it was a prison!. It stated that I was to be his wife and personal maid and do all his bidding without expecting anything in return.

How could I have been so stupid to not even read this before signing?

“No no no no no” I said as I felt hot tears flowing down my face.

It also stated that I was not leave the mansion without his authorization and failure to adhere to these rules will leave me with a fine of 5 billion naira.

“This… I… Didn't” I stammered

“You didn't what? you ladies are just too cheap.

“You actually thought I was just going to give you money just because I had s*x with you once.”

Well Newsflash! You’re not my type and can never be!

From now on you're going to be my personal maid.

Which means you now belong to me. You will attend to all my needs whenever I need it.”

And most importantly, you're never to go back to school.

“Take her away Tim, I have your first assignment for you tomorrow”

Immediately Walter left, All I could think of was to run away from this place. I threw the paper in the air and headed for the door but was stopped by Tim.

He was surprisingly fast and held me back. “Just do as the young master says, hopefully it won't be for long” he whispered to me.

He showed me to my room and immediately fell on the bed and cried my eyes out.

How could I have been so stupid? I blame myself for everything.

I took my mind back to all the security checkpoints we passed on our way here.

I tried plotting my way out of here as soon as possible. All I needed was to get to the door and I’m out.

I quickly cleaned my tears and tiptoed across the hallway and down the stairs slowly and quietly.

I was almost out of the house when I saw a door flung wide open.

My jaw dropped at the sight in front of me making me put a hold on my mission with my mouth wide agaped.
