Mafia Love?

*Blades POV* 

This mission is bullet proof I think to myself as I remember why I’m angry at the bastard in the first place. He stole all of my gun shipments this morning and killed three of my men. So I’m going to get what’s mine. As we pull up I send my explosions expert over to blow the doors up so that we don’t have to fight with locks. As everyone gets in position I signal for him to blow the doors off. As we all go storming in one set of men go look for our shipments and me and the other set of men start defending ourselves against the men running towards us. There are bullets flying everywhere and people fist fighting. As I shot one man another comes from behind me and cuts a shallow cut from my cheek up my face next to my eye. It’s not deep but it will leave a scar. And with that I take the knife straight from his hand and end him. As we fight off the last few and get our shipments we get everything on our trucks as the explosives expert rigs the place to blow up as we drive off so that hopefully it isn’t notices until we are long gone. 

Once finally home I walk in the front doors and the house is very quiet. I’m guessing that Rain and Rebecca are sleeping. So first I run into the nursery and Rebecca isn’t there so I quickly get over to my room and as I open the door. Everything seems different. Rebecca is in her bassinet next to Rain both of them fast asleep. And Rain has a book in her hand as she sleeps. There is now a giant bookshelf in my room covered in books and next to it a big comfy looking chair that Rain is sleeping in. I quietly walk into my closet to grab my clothes and the once empty shelves and racks are completely full. I’ve never had many clothes so the closet has always been mostly empty. It was nice to see it full. And not just of m my things. But all of hers. I use the door in the closet that leads to the bathroom and notice a new shelf that is full of shampoos and soaps and every thing else women need and not use to seeing so many things everywhere I just let it set for a minute. Unsure about if I feel cluttered or more at home. I turn on the water and take my shower and as I get out and start drying off I hear the door c***k open. 

“Blade? Is that you?” Rain quietly asks you can tell she is still tired as she stretches ever so slowly. 

“Yes it’s me, go back to bed” I say hoping she will go to sleep so I can clean up my face without her noticing. She is dressed in a short silk gown and her hair was messy in a hot way as she just woke up. And if she stays any longer she is likely to drive me crazy. And that’s when it hit. She looks at me for a moment and then her eyes get big 

“What happened to your face” she yells as she comes closer and grabs a cloth and rubs away the rest of the dry blood the shower didn’t was away. 

“I told you that I had a mission tonight. Things just got slightly out of hand” I say while looking at her worried expression.

“Well, did it at least end in our favor” with that I smile. Our favor. She really does see us as a team. “Your favor I mean” she says quickly as she bandages up my face and throws the trash away. 

“You has it right the first time Rain. We are a team now. It is our. From here on out.” I say knowing that she probably won’t listen to me.  

“Ok, our”she says quietly as she walks back into the bed room. She quietly takes Rebecca to her crib as I get dressed and head to bed. I walk into my room and realized that it has been completely rearranged. My bed was now on a different wall there was a big bookshelf completely full. And next to it sat a nice big chair. And a  vanity and chair now sat next to the closet. The biggest addition seemed to be a second tv. A I’m about to walk over to look at it Rain walks back into the room. 

“We aren’t even married yet and you’ve taken over” I say joking. “I’m sorry. Your sister bought most of it and your mom got the rest. My only idea was the second TV.” She stated in a very quiet soft voice. As if I really had upset her. “What’s it for?” I asked her. “All of the security cameras are wired to show the feed through the tv as well as the monitors in your office. So now you have a way to watch it at all times.” And when she said that I realized that she as well is trying. And so I walk over and pick her up and gave her a deep kiss to show my appreciation. Afterward I just simply look at her. Her gorgeous innocence makes me feel week at her hands. I would do anything for her. And she knows it. “I love the room” I said and her eyes lit up with joy. She didn’t even have to say anything. Her eyes always spoke for her. “My question is, do you like it?” She looked around and smiled “I think I do” 

As we curled into bed the phone started to ring. I quickly picked it up “yes” and with that I knew my peaceful night was over. Work never stopped. 

*Rains POV*

As soon as he got off the phone I knew it was bad news. I could tell by the look on his face. “What is it” i asked hoping not to overstep. “Someone is selling drugs on my territory it’s a small gang so it won’t be a problem to take care of.” He said as he looked at his phone again. “It should be ok until morning, but I have training and then a meeting first thing tomorrow.” He said as he got into bed next to me. “Take me with you?” I said. “Absolutely not. That is not happening” he said appearing confused as to why I would want to go. “You said we are a team. We are engaged. I’m not even sure if I know how to do any of it. All I know is that I want to try.”
