*Rains POV*

I wasn’t exactly sure what to wear or where we are going but I through on a pair of skinny jeans and a nice top. I headed out of our room and down the stairs to see him dressed in jeans and a nice shirt. He just emailed at me as he pulls me in for a nice warm hug. “Are you ready” he asks as he opens the door. I just nod and head out into the night. We get in the car and drive for what feels like forever. We pull into a lot with a pathway lit up with twinkle lights. 

“Did you do this?” I ask him smiling as we walked down the path that led to a well lit area with candles and a man standing at the end. “What is this?” I ask as I looked at him knowing that he was up to something. 

“We are getting married. Just the two of us. I promise I will protect you for the rest of our lives.” As he said that I felt a tear come to my eyes as happiness overcame me. 

We started the ceremony and had a beautiful time just the two of us. After the minister left Blane turned on a radio and we slow danced for what felt like minutes but was actually hours. Just holding each other. I’ve never felt more safe. I knew in that moment that I was the happiest girl in the world. 

_7 and a half months later_

*Blanes POV*

Rain has been having a hard time with the pregnancy. We decided to wait until she has the baby to find out the gender. I have tried everything I can to prepare for the baby and keep her stress free. 

“Can we go on a walk?” She asks me full of energy. 

“Are you sure you haven’t been feeling well?” 

“My back hurts but it feels better when I get up and move around” she says giving me the pouty face. I know a lot of her time has been spent in the house lately as she is constantly  tired. She hasn’t had an easy pregnancy there has been several ER visits to keep a check on her. But the main goal is to keep her happy. 

“Ok but James is coming with us” she just nodded her head and happily started towards the door. Me and James stood up and start to follow. We head out and start walking and end up at her favorite ice cream shop right down the street from our house. We get our ice cream and start the walk back to the house. We get to the drive way and Rain just stands there and let’s out a slight scream. 

“Rain what’s wrong?” I ask as me and James both run over to her. She drops her ice cream and winces in pain. 

“My water just broke and I dropped my f*cking ice cream” she says angrily 

“I’ll Get the car” James says as he takes off running. We rush straight to the hospital. 

We get settled into a room and after about an hour of waiting Rain started pushing. It was the scariest moment of my life when I was handed our baby for the first time. 

“Here is our baby boy my love” I said as I passed our son to my exhausted wife who started bawling as I climbed into the bed behind her and laid her back so she could rest. 

“Elijah” she said and then turned to me “I’d like to name him Elijah.”
