Walking through the markets filled with wolves and few witches, we reached our castle. High upon the hill overlooking the town. It's many pointed towers giving it the look of an eccentric crown. Our castle is more ancient than any bone left in the soil, it was built by King Lucras, the first the werewolf about six thousand years ago, its once smooth stone walls were now pitted and scarred. Telling the stories of the battle between wolves and vampires around three hundred and fifty six years ago.
"So what were you doing out there today" I asked Haziel as we entered in the long hall leading us to the dinning room. "Runnig around, you know what most of the wolves do during full moon." He said shrugging. "Yeah but most wolves don't go to the lands near the boarder during full moon, correct me if I'm wrong cause I saw you coming from the wrong side of the grass field tonight"
"And well I saw you as in the youngest child of the werewolf King Amphius doing hokas-locus tonight, correct me if I'm wrong"
"Don't answer me and all you want, but just so you know I am sure father knows where you were that's why he called you too"
''Well you can't be so sure maybe he doesn't know anything." shrugging he said ''Besides a prince can hope!"
"Goodluck then" I said as we reached the dinning room. "Good luck to you too'" Haziel said as we pushed open the giant oak door. Full Moon's light spilled into the room from three huge windows on walls, sitting on the huge dinning table in the middle of the room Yanet had a tired expressions, where as father who was sitting across from her was giving her a pointed look and mother was saying something in voice so low that the guards standing at the end of the hallway wouldn't be able to pick up on their conversation.
When father looked up at me and Haziel, I mouthed an apology which I knew will not save me from he lecture.
"Now that was really unexpected, my expectations are much higher when it comes down to you Elle" father said sighing. "My point exactly" Mother added as she sat down on the chair at the head of the table "she" she pointed at Yanet "is careless and implusive. Acts less like a wolf and more like monkey. But you, you are the responsible one and so we expect you to act like one."
"um pardon me but" Yanet bared her fangs and claws "now do I look like monkey to you"
"Put those fangs and claws in darling." Our father said once again giving Yanet pointed look. Then he went on "and when your mom says to act like one she doesn't only mean to act like the responsible daughter, she also mean to act like wolf" pointing to silver crescent right in the middle of his forehead he said "why do you think we gave this to you Elle?" he said pointing to my crescent mark "Because we wanted to disguise you as one of us, as a wolf. And by the grace of Luna we successfully disguised you as one of us for eighteen years now and we would like to keep it as that. If anyone in Wokozar discovered that you are Sorceress" he sighed "you know wolves do not take kindly to demons or demonic creatures, that's the reason we hate vamps and have never mingled with sorcerers or sirens. And Luna forbid if someone some how discovered that you are a Keeper too and Vampires and Fairies got the wind of it wouldn't be pleasant for sure."
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-" taking a deep breath I said '"I was being stupid, but I promise you I wouldn't repeat this mistake again."
Mother got up from her chair and walked up to me "Elle we, we love. You were one when your mother came to us asking for a favor. To keep you with us until she return, your mother she left to never return. And since then you are our daughter, I may not be the one who gave birth to you, but I love you just as much as I love Haziel and Yanet. And it would break me if someone takes you away from me. What you did tonight, Luna forbid if someone saw that, that wouldn't be good. Besides" she removing my wavy raven black hairs from my shoulders she revealed my sorceress mark, that grows each time expert in some spell. And if I kept on learning new spells at the rate I'm trying to soon it would reach my forehead and then I won't be able to hide it with my hairs "You can not let it reach to your forehead, you won't be able to glamour it." A sorcerer can glamour anything, but can't glamour their mark, their identity. At least that's what everyone know about them, sorcerers are not easy to find, they don't mingle with other supernatural creatures because they think of themselves as higher beings, above us all. To them vampire, witches, werewolves, banshees and other creatures are, what humans are to us, lower and powerless beings. It gives me relief that sorcerers are not interest in this human realm, the way vampires and fairies were, otherwise we all would have been cleaning their castles, palaces and what not like the way humans who were unlucky enough to live in the territories that were taken over by fairies are now serving them.
And I am not going to dwell upon what humans who lived in the territory that vampires took over after blood war are going through. Sorcerers are the whole new story on the other hand, information about them is limited. Or should I say the only things anyone knows about them are they can not hide their marks if assumptions are right and sirens who are the most ancient beings in this world believes that they are more powerful than witches and fairies. Although witches and fairies do not believe this.
"Now Haziel, where were you?" our father broke into my thoughts. "Nothing....you know just doing stuff running around and all!" Haziel replied casually. "Do I look like a fool to you?" father asked keeping his elbows on the table "I am over two centuries old alpha son, believe me I can detect you without you even noticing it, no matter how careful you are to keep me out of that pretty mind of yours!"
"Okay fine I was near the boarders, father I am an adult now am I not. I'll be the king in few decades you have stop treating me like a child, like you treat them" he gestured towards us '"they are the kids I am not''
"Oh shut up" Yanet hissed
" Oh no you don't get to speak a word, your little adventure could have revealed your sister's identity tonight" Father said to Yanet.
"I had it all planned out I wouldn't have let anyone know her identity. You think Luna gave us these senses just to eavesdrop others' conversation." Yanet said
'" Yanet the problem is your version of security and carefulness is quiet deadly'"
"I am powerful enough to protect my self, besides a Vampire would be the biggest fool to try to hurt us during full moon." Haziel finally got the chance to complete.
Father opened his mouth to say something but before he could the door of the dinning room burst open. And came in running and shocked Adir Vitler.
