My mother glared at me and Kai dropping her bag on the floor and not caring about the contents of it. Kai and I kept our mouths shut. My sweaty palms form into balled fists. She's not making this an issue right now. Heck, this is such a shallow thing to get pissed at. Her strong fruity perfume entered my nostrils. It was too much. It smelled like she took a bath in the entire bottle. "Who's there?" Aiden called out from the living room. Silence started to loom in since neither Kai and I answered Aiden. The movie coming from the living room was clearly paused, and heavy thumps of footsteps came approaching to where we stood frozen. My mom raised an eyebrow, fixing her eyes at me and Kai.
