LUCAS’S POV The ride down to the restaurant had been quiet. Elora sat beside me, lost in thought, her eyes fixed out the window as the city lights glittered by. I could tell she was trying to keep herself composed, but her silence always spoke louder than words. Tonight, all I wanted was to take her mind off her worries.
