  ELORA'S POV   After Lucian and Nora left, the silence in the air settled like dust. The Academy halls buzzed with talk of what went down earlier, but I ignored it all. I hung around a bit longer, pretending to dig around my bag in search of something, waiting for my heart to cease echoing in my ears. My chest still ached from the force of Nora’s embrace, but the word Mama slipping past her lips did a great job in soothing the ache in seconds.   The word played repeatedly in my mind.
