Today was Madison’s first day back in Pittsburgh after being in Wilkes-Barre for the past few months, working closely with the minor hockey league team trainers and physical therapists was a dream come true. After spending the afternoon unpacking, she was having dinner with some friends, catching up since she’d been away.
As her work friends chatted, her mind wandered to Matt. Maddy had missed him when he left Wilkes-Barre. She hadn’t had a chance to call him to let him know she was back in town, and she had to resist the urge to text him during dinner. He might’ve been almost ten years older, but she had more fun hanging out with him than anyone her age. He was a great guy, and he deserved some good in his life.
