Chapter 12: Discussing Strategies

The wolf warriors successfully destroyed the Hunters' Organization's laboratory and returned to the camp filled with the joy of victory. However, they knew that the Hunters would not give up easily; a greater crisis might still lie ahead.

As the Wolf King, Jack immediately organized the tribe members to strengthen the camp's defenses. Everyone worked together to build higher and sturdier walls. At the same time, patrol teams increased their frequency, staying ever vigilant.

Ellie busied herself tending to the injured wolf warriors, bandaging their wounds and providing encouragement and comfort. During this time, she also contemplated how to better assist the tribe in facing future challenges.

After several days of intense effort, the camp's defenses had significantly improved. Yet, Jack's worries did not subside; he knew the Hunters would retaliate fiercely.

One night, Jack stood alone on a high point of the camp, gazing into the dark distance. His heart was filled with conflicting emotions and unease. He wondered if he had made the right decisions and what the future held for the wolf tribe.

Just then, Ellie approached him. She gently walked up to Jack's side. "Jack, don’t worry too much. We’ve achieved a victory; as long as we stand united, we can overcome any difficulty." Jack looked at Ellie, warmth swelling in his chest.

"I know that with you by my side, I have courage and strength. But the Hunters' power cannot be underestimated; we must be fully prepared," Jack replied.

Ellie nodded slightly. "I understand. We will face this together."

However, the tranquility did not last long. Soon, the wolf tribe's reconnaissance team brought shocking news: the Hunters were gathering a massive force, preparing to launch a large-scale attack on the wolf tribe.

Jack immediately summoned the tribe's elders and warriors to discuss their countermeasures. Tension and worry filled their faces; they knew this would be a battle for survival.

"We cannot sit idly by; we must take the initiative and disrupt the Hunters' plans," a wolf warrior stated firmly.

Another, more cautious member furrowed his brow. "But the Hunters' forces are strong. Isn’t this too risky? We should defend the camp and wait for the right moment."

Jack paused for a moment before responding, "We indeed face significant risks, but if we merely adopt a defensive posture, we will eventually be overwhelmed by the Hunters. We must confront the challenge bravely and look for opportunities to counterattack."

Elder Gray slowly spoke up, "The Wolf King is right. We wolves have never been cowards. Taking the initiative might give us a glimmer of hope."

After intense discussion, the tribe decided to adopt an offensive strategy. They would split into several small teams to attack the Hunters from different directions, disrupting their formation.

At last, the time for action arrived. The wolf warriors stealthily set off. Jack led one of the teams toward the main force of the Hunters.

They carefully avoided the hunters' patrols, trying not to draw any attention. As they neared the Hunters' camp, they discovered it was heavily guarded, brimming with soldiers and weapons.

Jack calmly observed the surroundings, looking for a breakthrough opportunity. He noticed several weak spots around the Hunters' camp where the wolves could leverage their speed and agility to penetrate.

In a low voice, Jack instructed the warriors beside him, "Get ready! We’re charging in through that gap—be fast, precise, and ruthless." The warriors nodded, their eyes filled with determination.

With that, he decisively commanded the team to launch the attack. The wolf warriors surged like a black whirlwind toward the Hunters' camp, utilizing their strength and cunning to breach the Hunters' defenses, causing massive chaos among the enemy.

However, the Hunters reacted swiftly. They quickly organized a counterattack, unleashing powerful firepower to suppress the wolf warriors. Jack and his team became embroiled in intense combat, with warriors getting injured.

An injured wolf warrior gritted his teeth and said, "Wolf King, these Hunters are despicable; we cannot back down!"

Jack responded loudly, "Yes! We fight for the honor of our tribe!"

At this critical moment, other teams also launched their attacks. They struck the Hunters from different directions, throwing the enemy into disarray. The wolf warriors seized the opportunity to expand their gains, delivering a heavy blow to the Hunters' Organization.
