Lacey wrapped herself in the blanket as quickly as she could.
She sat curled up and then buried her head in the bedding.
Her lovely dark hair was scattered on both sides of her face.
And underneath the hair, her ears were a visible red.
Meanwhile, Sam's eyes were bloodshot.
"What's the matter?" Theo's voice came from a short distance away, just then.
The sound of his footsteps slowly approached.
"Bang!" Sam slammed the door without hesitation.
"Nothing! Go and get some rest!" Outside the doorway, Sam said to Theo.
The latter responded with a nod. "I see. I'll go then," Theo said, puzzledly looking at the tightly shut door.
He glanced back at Sophia's room every three steps.
"Ahem!" Sam coughed softly. He, too, went back to his room.
