Chapter Eleven -Matt's Experiment

Bella stopped to get a milkshake and then went to stop and drink it. Logan got out.

“I recognised your car. How are you?” Logan asked.

“You scared me.” Bella said.

“I’m sorry. Look, I am sorry. I was out of line today.” Logan said.

“Yeah, don’t ever tell a girl you intend to trap them with a baby. That sh*t will be a permanent co*k block.” Bella said.

“Yeah. Truth is, I said that as a joke. I was trying to defuse the Stacey being mad situation as well as I was trying to compliment you. I thought you’d realise we thought you were beautiful. But either way, I am sorry. I was out of line.” Logan said.

“Thank you for apologising.” Bella said.

“The boys are coming over for dinner, they will be there soon. Are you coming?” Logan asked.

“Yeah. I just wanted a shake first.” Bella said.

“Can I keep you company?” Logan asked.

Bella nodded. She looked at the water as she drank. Bella offered to share her shake with Logan. He usually refused to eat other people’s food and drink other people’s drinks. But he drank from her straw easily.

After Logan realised, he was surprised that he wasn’t hesitant about it.

“Bella, I know you are destined for great things. Even the teachers think so. I hope you never forget us little people.” Logan said.

Bella smiled.

“Little people, now you are just co*k blocking yourself.” Bella joked.

Logan was shocked that she made that joke.

“Relax, I never forget. And I rarely forgive. So, just don’t hurt me.” Bella said.

Logan nodded.

“Let’s go.” Logan said.

Bella had the last bit of her drink then put it in the bin. She walked to her car and Logan walked to his. He texted the video to his dad and texted they were heading back. Matt showed Milly and told her to stay quiet. But Milly was happy.

Bella had the guitar to play for her. She was so happy. Milly saw Logan pull into the drive way with Bella behind him. She waited at the door for it to open. All the boys were there and waiting.

“Why can’t you act normal near Bella?” Kieran asked.

“Shut up, you dumbass.” Milly said.

Matt laughed.

“Hey, Milly chose to keep Bella. Don’t hurt or disrespect Milly’s possessions.” Matt joked.

The boys laughed. Logan walked in.

“Where’s Bella!” Milly shouted.

“She’s getting her stuff. Relax Milly. She is bringing in her guitar and her presents she got from the teachers.” Logan said.

“She got presents from the teachers?” Matt asked.

“Who cares! She got her guitar!” Milly cheered.

Milly ran to Logan’s arms.

“Bella is graduating early, they gave her the graduation gifts early. She has a bracelet, necklace, hat and jacket. She might want to put them in her room before dinner. And probably change her clothes from today.” Logan said.

“So, she can smell more like cotton candy.” Milly said.

Logan and Milly made a small Mm sound. Matt laughed with the boys.

“Looks like either way, one of you three are marrying her.” Vince joked.

“Yeah, not the first time I’ve heard that joke.” Matt said casually.

He saw the door open to Bella in a black dress. She had a slight bruise forming on the left side of her forehead.

“Bella, what happened today?” Matt asked.

“Nothing.” Bella said.

“Liar.” Matt said.

“Bruise, told you to get it checked.” Logan said.

“Oh that.” Bella said.

“Yeah that.” Matt said.

“Stacey.” Bella said.

“Stacey smacked Bella into her locker. So, she ducked and made Stacey punch her locker then slammed Stacey’s hand into it.” Logan said.

“I knew you were awesome.” Milly said.

Bella smiled at Milly.

“I’ll be down soon. I just need to take these upstairs.” Bella said.

“Can I come with you?” Milly asked.

“If you don’t mind me leaving you so I can shower.” Bella said.

“I’m okay with that.” Milly said.

“Then let’s go.” Bella said with a smile.

“Need a lift?” Logan asked.

“I’m not afraid to smash a guitar on you.” Bella said.

“I like her, she has spunk.” Matt said.

“Bella has a room here?” Mitchell asked.

“She is staying here until I find a secure unit for her. There is a personal issue with her family.” Matt said.

Mitchell looked down.

“Is this about Stacey?” Mitchell asked.

“I think the only person to talk about her person life, is the person in question.” Matt said.

They nodded. Logan looked up and saw Bella walking to the bathroom with some clothes in her hand.

“Bella’s having her shower now.” Logan said softly.

“Logan, stop looking for her.” Kieran said.

“No, we already discussed this. After what we heard today. Logan needs to keep a close eye on her. We think she knows who Logan needs to find.” Matt said.

Kieran looked at Matt and blinked with a shocked look.

“And I think it’s her friend Drew, and the way he spoke. The fact he threatened me within a few seconds. And the way he acted possessive of Bella.” Logan said.

Logan walked towards the bottom of the stairs.

“Go to your room and get ready, change for dinner.” Matt said.

Logan nodded and ran up the stairs.

“Dad, what game are you playing at?” Kieran asked.

“Do you not find this as amusing as I do?” Matt asked.

Kieran looked at him with an annoyed expression.

“What are we missing?” Vince asked.

“Before Bella, Logan was heartless and cold. Since meeting Bella, he’s shown compassion, caring, kindness, love. Logan has even hugged people. Logan never cries, and he almost cried when he thought Kieran had s*x with Bella. All because Kieran pulled his fly up when leaving the library. Logan was angry and about to hurt him. Bella got involved and told him to hurt her. A man who cares about no one else but himself. He almost cried and said he couldn’t hurt her. That man, he is falling for her. This is an experiment for me and I love it. Because this is the first time ever, that he is behaving this way. Bella is his weakness. And I’m using Logan as an experiment. I can’t refuse to risk it.” Matt said.

“It will break him, especially when she chooses that gym guy.” Kieran said.

“I don’t think it matters. But Bella made it clear she isn’t wanting to be with anyone. And Logan made it clear, he won’t accept no for an answer. So let it play out. One of them will learn their lesson.” Matt said.

Kieran was about to speak but Milly was behind Matt and smacked his back.

“You want him to hurt her?” Milly asked.

“No, you misunderstood me. Logan wants to be with her. But Bella doesn’t want a relationship. Bella wants to focus on work.” Matt said.

Milly looked angry.

“Dad, you need to shut up before I get mad.” Milly shouted.

Milly stormed off to her room and slammed the door. Bella came out of the bathroom with a confused look on her face. Logan was walking towards the bathroom.

“Milly’s in her room. I heard yelling downstairs. Pardon me while I go shower, she’s angry with dad. Maybe you can talk to her.” Logan whispered.

Bella nodded. She walked to Milly’s room and knocked lightly.
