Chapter Fifteen - Not Good

Logan open the passenger door and grabbed Bella into his arms.
They watched him carrying Bella. Matt noticed the blood on Bella.
“IT’S BELLA!” Milly screamed.
“She needs a doctor and a shower, no hugs yet.” Logan said.
Matt got a whiff of her and blocked his nose.
“What happened?” Matt asked.
Logan kepr carrying Bella inside.
“Her dad got her, I spoke to Drew. He took me to her house. I went to the sewer entrance, Bella already escaped through the sewer and cut herself on the way out. They had her chained in the basement. I need to help her.” Logan said.
Logan carried Bella in a bridal way to the bathroom.
Logan turned the shower on while laying her in the bath. He ran the water over her and helped stand her up.
Milly was helping him reach the soap from the counter. Bella was still in her clothes for now.
Logan looked at Milly.
“Ask one of the maids to help bath Bella without clothes. I will shower downstairs in the help’s shower.” Logan said.
Milly nodded.
“You make sure to wait here. Bella isn’t allowed to walk on her feet. My rules. No walking until she is checked out by the doctor.” Logan said.
Milly nodded. She went to get help.
Logan walked out and got showered. He ignored his dad and Kieran.
Logan hurried and then ran back upstairs and waited with a fresh towel. He carried Bella in a towel to her room.
“Milly, come help grab clothes!” Logan called out.
Milly followed and helped Logan find clothes for Bella. Bella's door was shut. There was a knock on the door.
“Go away for a few minutes.” Milly said loudly.
“The doctor is here.” Matt said.
“He can wait. Bella is in a towel. We are going through her things and trying to find her underwear.” Milly said.
“I’m opening the door.” Matt said.
Matt opened it to see Bella laying down.
“Um, Logan. Is Bella breathing?” Matt asked.
“She has a pulse, she just fell down now. I don’t know if it’s because she crawled through 10 acres worth of sewage or ran on foot with an open wound or the fact she did all of this after a car accident. But she’s got a pulse.” Logan said.
Logan was sitting next to her, fingers on her wrist to keep checking her pulse.
“Let the doctor check her out.” Matt said.
Matt stood aside, the doctor walked in.
“The missing girl?” The doctor asked.
“We found her this morning. She’s been living here willingly.” Matt said.
“I found her underwear.” Milly said.
“Face the wall.” Logan said.
“Logan.” Matt said.
“Dad, just do it. Milly is making sure I behave.” Logan said.
The doctor and Matt looked away.
Logan pulled her underwear up. Milly pulled over a singlet that they put on her as well. When they lifted the towel, it revealed a lot of cuts and dark purple along her stomach.
“Turn around.” Milly said.
They turned around to see her stomach.
“I can already tell she needs a hospital.” The doctor said.
“Try your best without the hospital.” Matt said.
The doctor gave her an exam, Logan stepped aside and so did Milly. He listened to her heart and then looked shocked at them.
“She should be dead. Her heart keeps dropping slower. Call her an ambulance right now!” The doctor said.
“What’s wrong?” Matt asked.
“If what you said is true, then she is at high risk of an infection. And not only that. Her heart is irregular. She sounds like her heart is slowing down and she sounds like she is dying. She needs a hospital now.” The doctor said.
“Find her pants. I will take her.” Matt said.
Logan and Milly went looking for pants.
“We are all going to the hospital. He is coming with us.” Milly said.
The doctor sighed.
“Fine, besides they wouldn’t believe how you found her.” The doctor said.
Logan put pants on Bella and then Logan held her close as he carried her down the stairs.
Matt drove quickly to the hospital then Logan carried her into the hospital. Logan never left her side.
Logan stayed beside her, they kept putting multiple antibiotics to flush through her system. Bella had multiple code blues and needed to be revived multiple times. Milly cried as she saw her dying repeatedly.
“Fight Bella!” Milly cried loudly.
Matt tried holding Milly but she wanted Logan to hold her as she cried.
Logan held Milly, even when Milly fell asleep while staring at Bella.
Hours have passed, Logan still hasn't slept yet. Though he feels his eyelids getting heavier.
“Logan, are you okay? I’m going to get a coffee.” Matt said.
“Can you get me a drink?” Logan asked.
Matt nodded and left.
Kieran was still at home.
Logan was the only one able to see what was going on in the room as Milly fell asleep. He put his hand on Bella. He felt her hand flinch.
“Bella, you’re okay. You are in the hospital. You went into a small sleep from everything with escaping your fathers.” Logan said softly.
Bella mumbled.
“I’m sorry, what?” Logan asked.
Logan kept his gaze on Bella.
Bella blinked repeatedly.
Bella moved her head slowly and looked around. Logan felt her grip his hand harder.
“I’m here, so is Milly.” Logan said.
Bella smiled and slowly relaxed.
“Dad’s getting a drink.” Logan said.
Bella nodded.
Bella saw Logan lean closer and press a button. Then Logan pulled out his phone.
“Dad said to tell him if you wake up.” Logan said.
Bella mumbled.
Logan called Matt.
“What’s wrong?” Matt asked.
“Bella just woke up.” Logan said softly.
“I’ll be back soon.” Matt said.
Logan hung up. He looked at Bella.
“Milly is very protective of you.” Logan said.
Bella looked at him confused.
“You kept dying, and Milly screamed fight Bella to you. As soon as she screamed it, you stopped dying on her.” Logan said.
Bella was starting to cry.
'Milly was watching me die? Why?' Bella asked herself.
A doctor and nurse walked into the room.
“Well, look who is awake. How’s the pain?” A doctor asked.
The nurse looked at the chart while the doctor watched Bella.
“Bella’s not exactly speaking, she’s only mumbling.” Logan said.
“That’s odd. Hang on.” The doctor said.
The doctor grabbed a torch.
“Open your mouth.” The doctor said.
Bella did.
“I see nothing wrong, maybe she just needs a moment. Or is just thirsty.” The doctor said.
The doctor gestured the nurse to grab a drink for Bella and the nurse left. The doctor looked her over.
“Do you remember what happened?” The doctor asked.
Bella nodded.
