Chapter One Ending

Logan gave up after searching from 1pm until nearly 5pm for her. He went with boys from the school. He was about to do a job but got notification that someone else did it. He saw how it looked. It was signed by BB. No one knows who that is, all they know is the last is blaze.

Because they set the bodies on fire afterwards. Logan is a hitman. He has been earning a living killing for them since he secretly did a job for his grandfather when he was little. Logan's grandfather was injured and almost failed.

His grandfather was telling his parents about the failed job. So when Logan was 12, he had his first kill, it was the failed job for his grandfather. And because of that. His father, let him do the work with his grandfather. Even after his grandfather passed away 4 years later. Logan still does it. But rumours about this BB becoming this wild and unhinged man that isn’t even in any of the known hitman groups lists of employees.

This man works alone. So, Logan is hired to also infiltrate the groups to learn the truth. As Logan is the best from where he is from. He has earned well and truly more than $50million from his jobs. Logan is a high priority because of everything. The hit employers all want him to join them.

Currently, he is freelancing for them all. To learn who BB is. He wishes they didn’t have an alias name.

After he played the arcade for a bit. He was bored, he couldn’t stop thinking about Bella.

“I might call it a night.” Logan said.

“No, we aren’t finished.” Mitchell said.

“I forfeit. You win.” Logan said.

“What’s wrong?” Vince asked.

“Dad needs me at home urgently.” Logan lied.

They nodded. Logan walked to his car. He was driving around the park when he noticed her. The black and blue hair, in a long red dress running barefoot with a backpack on her back. He slammed on the brakes. Bella turned to face him in shock for a moment. Logan saw the blood on her and froze.

“BELLA! ARE YOU OKAY?” Logan asked.

Bella recognised his voice and ran from him. Logan got into his car and chased after her. He stuck to the streets and ran through the red lights as he followed Bella. After another hour, he realised he lost her. Logan pulled over. He called every hospital. Nobody came in with an injury to their shoulder that was female with black and blue hair. Logan sighed and hung up. He went home. When he walked into the door, he saw his dad looking happy at him.

“Did you do it or did BB do it?” Matt asked.

“I don’t know who BB is yet. But I befriended the popular guys already at the school that BB is rumoured to attend. I spent time with them. On my way home, I saw a girl from school bleeding. Everyone bullies her.” Logan said.

“Aw, sounds like you have a crush.” Milly teased.

“Shut up brat.” Logan said.

“Dad!” Milly whined.

“Shut up Milly. Why do you sound concerned about her Logan?” Matt asked.

“The teacher said she spoke up, to get everyone to bully her instead of the other kids. It makes me wonder some things. I heard the words she spoke in class. She threatened people under her breath. What if BB is a girl?” Logan asked.

“BB has killed multiple people, he fought against four grown men and survived. A girl wouldn’t have. BB is a man.” Matt said.

“A job was done, and I saw her bleeding. She had blood on her shoulder and chest. She was also in a very disturbing dress.” Logan said.

“What did she look like?” Kieran asked.

Kieran was Logan’s twin brother. Though he was also in school but he didn’t attend the first day so that Logan could make his connections.

“Honestly, it hugged her body, was small and looked like she was clubbing or something.” Logan said.

“I don’t know how to respond to that.” Kieran said.

“Sounds like you have paid too much attention to her. Kieran will focus on her now, so you can look for BB without worrying about her.” Matt said.

“Dad, no.” Logan said.

“I’ll invite her over. Dad will get a feel of her.” Kieran said.

“No.” Logan said.

They all looked at Logan.

“Definitely. I want to see why he is hiding her from us.” Matt said.

“I’ll find out the gossip.” Kieran said.

Logan groaned as he walked to his room. He couldn’t stop thinking of her. The look of her face, the way she looked like a deer in the headlights. Running barefoot. He knew he was crazy for thinking she could be BB. She was running barefoot. She must be an escort or something. Logan showered and got ready for bed. How can Logan Nichols be stuck thinking about a girl who clearly hates him? Maybe that’s why? He couldn’t shake her from his thoughts.

Bella got to her small cabin. She went in and showered clean. Bella sat in a towel as she looked at herself in the mirror. She had a lock box at the bank for herself. It was where she stored all her money that cannot be accessed by anyone but herself. And if someone tried with a death certificate. They have to contact her, if no response in 6 months. Her money was to be split into the charities she had pamphlets for in the lock box as well. Bella had everything planned in advance.

More importantly, Bella knew she couldn’t keep her money hungry step mother away for long. She made sure to look poor. Looking back on everything. Bella had to hide everything from her step sisters and her step mother. Even her father doesn’t know how much she earns. And he doesn’t care. Not while his wife is pregnant with the child he always wanted, a son.

Bella started to think of Logan. His stupid smirk, and attitude. How he can be so sure of himself. It made her so mad. Bella wanted to slap him. She decided she was going to ignore him so that he lost his confidence.
