RejectedAgain

“Please, I’m sorry. Don’t reject me, I will do anything you want”, I said as tears ran down my eyes. My head was bent forward as I knelt on the floor refusing to look up because I was too embarrassed at myself. “Get up and leave now”, Edmund roared at me, while his mistress snickered. I shook my head refusing to raise my head or get up. “Please, I’m begging you”, I cried even more. “I should’ve listened to what they said about you. I should have listened after Lord Lucas rejected you as his mate. I should never have followed the instructions of the moon goddess in mating with you. You’re not my type. You are too shy, you have refused to lay with me, and most importantly you’re a weak piece of nothing. I wonder how a worthless Omega is given to an Alpha to mate with”, he replied angrily. It was no news that I had been rejected by my first mate, Lucas who rejected me because he did not want any heir of his to be “weak”, and now again I was being rejected by yet another powerful and well known mate. The thought of what would happen to me after getting rejected by Edmund tore my heart to pieces. “Goddess Elspeth would not be happy with what you’re about to do. You know she was the one who blessed Silvermoon hood, and she conducted the mating ceremony between us. If—“, I was saying but got interrupted as Edmund held onto my hair pulling it backwards so that I was forced to look at his burning eyes, my head hurting in the process. “Never in your lifetime use Goddess Elspeth to threaten me”, he said. His fangs and claws began to pop out while his eye color began to change from his regular brown colored to amber. Edmund did not love me even when Goddess Elspeth mated us both, but I had a very deep liking of him because of the mate bond that pulled us together. I did not like when he was angry, but he deserved to be angry this time. He was always wicked to me because I was just a weak Omega unworthy of him. He brought in a mistress because I told him I was a virgin, then went on to accuse me of not wanting to lay with him when that was not what I did. Edmund rarely respected the people of the nation except people with a high prestige like Goddess Elspeth who had blessed Silvermoon hood, the land which he ruled over, and ever since it was blessed, it became one of the most successful lands in the entire nation. Silvermoon Hood was never overtaken by enemies, and it was richly filled with milk, diamonds and gold. Edmund had agreed to mate with me only because Goddess Elspeth had said that I was the best mate for him, and that was the reason I thought I could use Goddess Elspeth as a way to get through to him. “Please”, I kept begging, trying not to break contact with his furious amber eyes. He must have felt the energy radiating between us, prompting us to kiss because suddenly his eyes weren’t amber anymore and he let go of my hair harshly. “I reject you as a mate, Edith. You are to leave this premises before dusk”, he said, looking away from him. He felt it. He felt that urge to be with me. Why was he resisting it? Phillipa walked up to him as if given the cue to ruin my life further. She massaged his shoulders as he stood still not saying a word. I got up looking at my skin. Because I did not have quick healing abilities, it was still evident that I had been maltreated during my stay with Edmund. There were times he would push me, slap me or pull my hair just because I did not turn out to be his dream wife. But everything that I had endured was better than what Rosalind was going to do to me when I get returned. Before dusk, I was sent away by Edmund. “Five of my men will accompany you to Ironfang Bastion, where your kind of filth belongs, and you are never to return to the Silvermoon Hood unless you’re ready to loose your head”, Edmund said harshly. “Her head isn't worth a single dime, we won’t even be able to make money off it. Maybe we will just hang it at our gate”, Phillipa giggled evilly laying down the plans for my head as though they already had it. “And in case it was not clear to you the first time, I reject you as my mate”, Edmund said, his tone firm and a bit strained. All the while that they talked, my eyes were fixated on the ground, and I refused to meet their eyes. My eyes were burning and tears were trying to fight their way down my burning eyes, but I tried my best to fight back. When Edmund and Phillipa were done saying nasty things to me, his guards came to take me to the carriage which Edmund had arranged for me. As I turned to go, Edmund rushed towards me raising my chin up so that our eyes met. I could not read his eyes. I couldn’t tell if he was just toying with me, making me take all his beautiful smell into my nose, or if his eyes were trying to tell me something that I needed to know. After about a minute of staring into my eyes, he let go of me and walked off with Phillipa, and the tears that I tried so hard to fight poured out of my eyes. The journey to the Ironfang Bastion was painfully long but was not as painful as standing before Rosalind, the woman who was supposed to be a mother to me. “So you’ve been rejected and returned yet again”, she said calmly, but her voice was edgy. “I, I don’t know why I got rejected”, I stammered, my head down as it usually was. She walked up to me striking me on my cheek and walking back to her seat like she did nothing. “When I am talking to you, you are to look up at me and not murmur like a foolish beast. I know you are a foolish beast but don’t act like one in my presence”, she said. I raised my head slowly, my eyes burning with fresh tears. “I don’t know why I got rejected”, I said, trying not to stammer. “And you’re back here expecting me to feed you right?”, she asked, smiling devilishly. I was about to shake my head but remembered that would warrant another slap from her, so I decided that it was best to give an audible answer. “N-no”, I stammered. “So why are you here?”, she asked. She was trying frustrating me on purpose, “I-I got rejected so lord Edmund sent me here, my lady”, I said. She got up and walked slowly to me while all the hairs of my body stood up, as I froze in fear. “I see you’re enjoying being a virgin woman for too long. You have refused to use that to your advantage to keep a mate who would at least see you as sacred even though you will be completely useless to him. He would feel the urge to lay with you and put a baby with you so that you would carry his heir, and you could finally be a bit useful to him and to me. But since you have refused, I will make you useful to me some other way ”, she said looking at me with utter disgust, while I wondered what she meant. She looked to the corner, where a guard, Sir Roland, stood. “Sir Roland, come over here and take Edith to the dark room, tie her up and lay with her. You must leave a child in her womb or else you lose your head”, she announced. I felt my whole world crumbling down.
