Chapter Seven

2444 Words
Brian steps out of the elevator and walks to his car. Aurelio already has the door opened for him. He climbs into the driver’s seat and buckles up. “Are you sure about this?”, Aurelio asks worriedly. “You don’t have to worry about me, I’ll be fine. I need you to stay here and watch over Eliza. Make sure she doesn’t get lost or into any kind of trouble”. “I will. Have you read the file?”. “I haven’t had the chance but I will when I get back. I trust you Aurelio. You’re basically the only one I trust with my life and now I’m entrusting Eliza’s life in your hands. Take good care of her”. “I will and be careful. Those people are not to be trusted”. “I will”. With a final nod, Brian drives off. As he’s driving, three SUV’S with tinted windows appear behind him. Two flank him on both sides while one stays behind him. He chuckles in amusement. “Trust Aurelio to always have my back even when he’s not there”. He murmurs to himself. They drive for a few minutes before stopping at an abandoned shoe factory. Brian parks his car and climbs out of it. Then he walks into the factory. The people in the other cars, climb out of their cars but don’t follow Brian into the factory. They surround the building, killing the other men they find there using the silencer attached to their guns so as not to alert the people inside. After they’re done killing the men, they position themselves in certain spots that make it easy for them to spot an incoming intruder. When they’re done with positioning themselves, the leader presses a button on his customized watch. As Brian walks in, he hears the sound of someone clapping. “Well, well, well. If it isn’t the Black Dragon himself, the one who never reveals his face to anyone. The one who refused to accept my request to meet up countless times. What brings you here today?”. The speaker steps out of the dark and into the light, revealing his face to Brian. The person is short with a really round tummy, his teeth are plated with gold and on his fingers are gold rings. Flanking him on his sides are two really huge men each carrying a machine gun. “Get to the point Viktor”. “Oh, but why the rush? Shouldn’t we talk about old times like good old friends?”. “There are no old times and we are not friends. State your business”. “My business you say. Okay then, if that’s what you want to hear then that’s what I’ll tell you. First, business is booming”. He laughs. “I’m even thinking of expanding. What do you think Black Dragon?”. “I’m done here”. Brian says and turns to walk away but then stops when he hears the sounds of guns c*****g. “Oh, but it’s too soon Black Dragon. We still have a lot to discuss”. Viktor grins evilly. “You’re wasting my time and I’m starting to lose my patience Viktor”. Brian says and turns back around. “I apologize for the inconvenience Black Dragon”. Viktor says, sounding anything but sincere. He clicks his fingers and one of the guards flanking him makes his way towards Brian. “If you don’t mind, I’d like my man to search you to make sure you’re unarmed”. Brian spreads his arms apart as the guard pats him down. After making sure Brian is unarmed, he turns to his Boss and nods. “Very well’, Viktor says, turning around. “This way”. He then leads Brian deeper into the factory. As he’s walking, his customized watch makes a beeping sound. “What was that?”, Viktor asks, his guards suddenly becoming more alert. “Relax, it’s just the alarm on my wristwatch not a bomb”. Brian says dryly. Viktor laughs which annoys Brian but he doesn’t react. “You can’t really blame me for being careful with the Black Dragon around, now, can you?. I have heard of your ruthlessness. Of how you kill and torture both men and women alike. That there are no boundaries or limits when it comes you. I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving side of your wrath, now would I?”. “How much farther?”, Brian asks, ignoring every other thing the man said. “They forgot to add rude to the list”, Viktor murmurs. “We’re almost there”, he says out loud. They make a right turn and stop in front of an iron door. The guards push the door open and Viktor and Brian walk in, leaving the guards to stand guard outside. “What are we doing here?”, Brian asks, glancing at his watch. “We’re here to see a special guest”. “What guest?”. “Oh, you’ll see”. Viktor chuckles mischievously. Brian takes a look around the room they just walked into. The whole place is filled with torture devices of various sorts. “Who is the guest Viktor?”. Brian asks again, his voice turning to a threatening whisper. “Impatient, are we now. Come, come, I’ll reveal our guest to you”. Viktor opens another door and makes way for Brian to walk in first. This room is dark, really small and completely empty except for a nude woman dangling from the ceiling with her arms tied together and her legs spread apart, each leg tied to the poles placed beside her. Her head is down and her hair covers her face so Brian doesn’t know who the person is. “Who’s that and why did you bring me here?”. The room suddenly becomes really bright causing Brian to see various torture marks on the woman’s body. “C’mon Black Dragon, don’t tell me you don’t know who that is”. Viktor walks towards the woman and pulls her head up by her hair. Her face is really swollen with cuts scattered all over it that she’s barely recognizable. “Now, do you remember her?”. “B… B…. Brian”. The woman calls in a small, weak voice. “He…. Hel….. Help me. Please”. Viktor let’s go of her hair and her head falls back down. “Why is she here? What are you up to Viktor?”. “So you do remember her, that’s good. Makes my work much easier. You see Brian, I want us to make a deal. Your life for hers, that’s if you truly care about her. You know your whole mysterious persona really annoys me. The whole mask, shades and voice enhancer s**t, annoys me to the core. Every night I find it difficult to sleep because I don’t know who you are. Because I can’t tell what you’re thinking, what you’re planning, what your next step would be. You’re always so calm and that freaking annoys me. The fact that I know nothing about you makes me itch. The only thing I know is that you own that useless Dark Knights Empire company. A company that I plan to take over soon and when I do I’m going to change that shitty name”. “You’ve lost your mind Viktor”. “And whose fault do you think that is, huh! The fact that you’re a mysterious person frustrates the freaking s**t out of me. Your stupid mysterious persona makes it look like you’re the only Mafia Boss in this city which is not so. There’s me also. I should be the one running this city not you. I should be the one every one fears not you! I should be the one in your position NOT YOU!! So that’s why I’m going to kill you. I’m going to splatter your brain matter all over these walls. I’m going to rip out every organ in your body and burn them to the ground. By the time I’m done with you Brian Dalton, the famous Black Dragon in the underworld, you’ll wish you had never been born”. Viktor brings out a gun from his back pocket, c***s it and points it at Brian’s chest. “But honestly, I don’t want to kill you just like that, I want you to surrender yourself to me. I want the whole underworld to know that the famous and feared Black Dragon cowered at the sight of Viktor the Viper! I want your reputation to be ruined completely. I want you to roll around in your grave knowing that I won. So for the last time, your life or hers?”. He moves the location of the gun from pointing it at Brian’s chest to placing it on the woman’s temple. “Trust me, if I were you, I’d pick her life over mine. She has been through hell “. He laughs sardonically. “I made ten of my men take turns in fücking her, made them whip her, made them place hot things on her and in her, I made them place various items in her, huge items”. He grins evilly. “She screamed, she cried, she pleaded for mercy even went as far as begging us to kill her, to just end the torture. They beat her every single day. It was a sight to behold Black Dragon. I felt satisfied, not completely satisfied because you’re still standing but satisfied all the same. I felt satisfied knowing I was making your ex girlfriend go through pain, pain she never thought even existed. So choose Black Dragon, time’s ticking. Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock!”. “And what makes you think I care about what you did, do and plan to do to her? What makes you think I care about her enough to give my life up for her? What makes you think I give a damn about what she went through?”. Brian asks dryly. “Oh my, oh my, oh my, the rumors are true after all, you really are ruthless, even to your own ex. Tut, Tut, Tut, Tut, Tut, did you hear that Angel? Your ex boyfriend doesn’t give a damn about you. When you die, blame his death on him. Still Black Dragon, not exchanging your life for hers doesn’t mean I still won’t kill you. Your death today has been carved on stone. There’s absolutely nothing that’s going to change that. I’ll kill her first, then you next”. Brian doesn’t say a word, he just turns a button on his watch. “You have ten seconds to put down that gun Viktor the Viper or it’s your brain matter that’d be splattered on these walls”. “Is that a threat?!”, Viktor growls. “Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six. Nana, I do care about you, don’t think I don’t. Our relationship might not have worked out but I do”. After Brian says that, Viktor smirks evilly and pulls the trigger, blowing her head off. Nana’s brain fluid splatters everywhere, especially on Brian’s and Viktor’s clothes. Brian closes his eyes. Rest in peace nana, I’m sorry you got dragged into this. “0”. There are gunshots outside the door. Viktor points the gun at Brian’s head. “What did you do?”. He grits. “I stayed one step ahead of you, that’s what”. “I’ll kill you, you bãstard!!”. “Go ahead Viper, make the shot. As you can see, I am unarmed”. Brian spreads his arms wide. “Go ahead, make the shot”. Viktor’s hands are shaking really badly, both in fear and anger. “You won’t get away with this!”. “Neither will you”, Brian smirks. “You know how loyal my men are to me and what they’ll do to you if they find me dead on the floor. You’re the one who would wish he had never been born”. Brian takes a sidestep and the door is broken down. Five men run in, each of their machine guns pointed at Viktor’s chest. “Drop the gun!”, One of them yells. When Viktor doesn’t make a move on time, one of the men brings out a .38 and shoots Viktor on both thigh. Viktor falls to the floor, screaming in pain. Brian walks towards him and leans down. “Do you know why I wasn’t afraid? Why I wasn’t worried? Why I didn’t flinch when you pointed the gun at me? It’s because you’re a coward and everyone in the underworld knows that, that’s why no one fears you. You only kill people weaker than you, people that have no one to avenge them that’s why you always get away with it. But today, you made a big mistake. You messed with the wrong girl. Ex or no ex, you’re going to pay for her death and not just you, your wife and daughter and son will also be added to the equation". “No! Don’t you dare touch my family. I’ll…. I’ll kill you”, he groans in pain. “I’ll make you watch as I do to your wife and daughter what you did to Nana. I won’t make my men do it, no, no”. Brian leans further down to whisper in Viktor’s ear. “I’ll hire men to do it. Fifty men. And each will take turns fücking your wife and daughter. They’re going to scream and beg like Nana did but you wouldn’t be able to save them. You’ll watch in pain and guilt as they’re fücked over and over again knowing fully well that there’s nothing you can do about it. Nothing at all Viper”. “No!”, Viktor groans. “Please no”. Brian stands up and adjusts his jacket and cufflinks. “Take him away”, he orders and walks out of the room. He dials a number on his phone. “Aurelio, bring Viktor’s family to the location we agreed on and I need you to do something for me. It seems like the plans have changed”.
