Chapter 9: CHANGE

MARK'S POV:

I grabbed my guitar to get ready to sing for him.

I've also adjusted the tone of it. After everything was settled, I started to sing to him.

I finished the song then kissed him. I miss him so much. I want to see his smiles again. I want to hear his laugh. Heyyy, I hope you wake up.

While I was watching his face when someone opened the door.

“Bro, I'll take care of him for now. You can rest first.” he said to me.

I know who it is. And fortunately, he was kind to me, but sometimes he's so arrogant.

He is still my rival. But of course, with Jay's condition now, we talked about postponing the conflict and taking care of Jay before he wakes up.

“Alright, look after him properly, if you don't want to be punched.” I jokingly said to him.

“Okay okay, it's like I want something bad to happen to him.” he said.

“Alright, I'm leaving. You take care of him properly!” I said seriously.

“Alright bro.”

It's been 3 weeks since Jay was confined and in a coma due to the accident.

During those three weeks, I mostly watched over him. Of course, sometimes Diyo, Jake and Lyle also take turns.

Since he was in a coma, I can barely sleep at night. I think too much.

Sometimes I think that what if he doesn't wake up or maybe when he wakes up I already have someone else or maybe it will be 10 years or more before he wakes up?

But I just dismissed all that from my mind. I know he can do it. I know he will fight.

I'm still me. I'm still Mark. But the only difference is that I am already working in our company. I am now an Executive Manager at Guillermo Properties & Merchandising.

So that's it. I'm all work. I don't go clubbing and partying anymore because I have a job and another thing, I avoid that too. For Jay. I'm walking now to the parking lot. My car is there. I mean Jay and I's car.

Hehehe. When I entered here, I immediately turned it on. I thought about going grocery shopping first because my condo unit is out of stock.

When I arrived at the supermarket, I immediately bought what I had to buy.

Meat, Vegetables, Snacks, Condiments, Hygiene, everything. Actually, I don't even know why I buy meat and vegetables because I don't like to cook.

I mean I know but I don't really like it.

Then I paid it first then returned the car.

When I arrived at my condo unit, I immediately went to the bathroom to take a shower. I need to refresh.

When I finished, I put away everything I bought and put it in the fridge.

What a life! So boring!! If only Jay was here. I hope it's not boring.

I don't have work right now either. It's my day off.

I just thought of something good to do to prevent boredom.

I decided to just play XBox. I played the Hunter: Call of the wild since I am addicted to this game.

When I got bored, I just watched a movie. It's title is Windstruck.

This film is almost two hours long. Its genre is romance. I don't know! Since before, I don't really watch romance. It's corny.

But since Jay came into my life, I have enjoyed the word ‘Romance’ and I have also understood the word ‘Love’.

After the movie, believe it or not, I really cried. Because the story is super good and the plot is super good. It really makes me cry.

It's all about a girl. The girl was a police officer then she met the boy. The boy is handsome.

Then they were friends and confessed their feelings. Then of course they became.

But there was a time when the girl was chasing a criminal since she was a police officer, then the boy got worried because the girl didn't reply to him.

Then he found out that the girl was chasing a thief, of course the boy was worried that's why he also chased where the girl was.

Then it was seen that when the boy saw the girl, she pointed a g*n at the criminal who was behind the boy. Then the girl's police officers opened fire and the boy was hit.

Many thought it was the girl who killed her bf, but the girl's colleagues also confessed.

Then in the crying part is the one saying goodbye to the boy because he died. It's just his spirit. He told the girl that when he dies, he will become the wind, so if the girl feels the wind as if hugging her, it is the boy.

Then the boy also said that he will live again but in a different person. The end. It's just too beautiful. Just watch it so you can relate too. It's Korean movie so it really makes me cry.

Then I ate then went to sleep.

I am currently preparing to enter my office.

I got into my car and went to my office. Mind you, the company I work for is different from the company that Augustus and Jay work for. Mine is Guillermo Properties & Merchandising and theirs is Guillermo Architectural Firm / GAF. But there is only one owner which is my father.

When I got to the office, I started working. Fortunately, Lyle and Jake texted me a while ago saying that they will take care of Jay first.

Ready to work! Fortunately, my assistant Sylvester was there. Fortunately, I get a hardworking and good assistant, so I have someone to work with.

When lunch came, I first went to the cafeteria to eat. I usually eat outside, but since I have a lot to do, I have no choice, so I just eat here.

I have also treat Sylvester because I know he is also short of money. His family is in the province and he is the only one who works for them here in Manila because he is the first born.

Then we immediately went back to work. I really appreciate it that Sylvester is here.

“Okay sir! I'll take care of it. Just rest.” he says.

“Thank you.” and I went out and went to my car. I don't know, I'm really tired right now. Maybe it's because there's too much to do and it's stressful. Plus I'm also worried for Jay.

Arriving at my unit, I immediately lay down on my bed. I didn't take off my clothes and just sleep immediately.

I had only been lying down for a few minutes when someone knocked on the door.

Tsk...annoying!

I opened it and was surprised by what I saw.

“Hi Mark!!” she says.
