I knocked on the door and waited for Joseph to open it for me. When he didn’t open right away, I wondered if he might be sleeping. I looked at the time and it’s not even 7 pm yet. Joseph is a late sleeper and would still be awake at this time.
I knocked again and after not getting an answer, I picked up my phone and got ready to call him. Before I got the chance, he partly opened the door and peeked through.
Joseph: “Uhm, babe. What are you doing here?”
Emmy: “I brought dinner. And I was hoping to fulfill my promise.”
He looked lost so I jogged his memory.
Emmy: “I would like to continue what we started last night.”
Joseph: “Oh! Yeah. Uhm, well, now’s not really a good time.”
