Chapter 22

Sophie pov 

It has been totally crazy the past 2 days. I've woken up. Been reunited with my parents after all this time. Jason has introduced me to his parents and then the pack as his mate. The doctors are baffled by how I have suddenly woken up and have been running test after test for an answer. I'm snapped out of my thoughts but a familiar heat radiating across my body. I let out a little shudder and turn to the door to see it filled with the gorgeous man I love his beautiful green orbs bearing into me flickers of silver give me the scene both him and his wolf are here. I smile and pat the seat next to me on the sofa. He joins me and wrap me in his embrace. The pull of him is so intoxicating. After a while he breaks the silence. 

"Well if you are up to it I have a surprise but only if you are up for it" he grins. I can't help but return his grin and nod like a lunatic. 

"Yes, yes I'm totally okay, so what are we doing" I ask hoping to get a little insite into what he has planned 

"Its a surprise Sophie" he says chuckling and shaking his head "You are one of a kind Sophie" 

I pull out my puppy dog eyes but all Jason does is shake his head. 

"I have some pack jobs I need to attend to. I will come get you as soon as I am done" he places a longing kiss on my lips and as we part I long for more. "Laters moonflower" he winks as he leaves the room allowing me to drift back to my thoughts. I cant help but wonder more about my powers, I know I have them, I can feel them. I know the only person with answers is my mother. 

"You wanted to see me my moon light" my mother smiles from the door. 

"Wait how did you know" 

"My moon light i can hear any thought you have that is linked to me" she comforts. "What is troubling you" she says as she pushes a rouge strand of hair back behind my ear.

"This new power i have, being a demi goddess, will I end up as the next moon goddess? If so when? Does that mean you will still be around? Will me being the moon goddess mean I will eventually loose Jason?" I can feel myself rambling "and what is the deal with the daylighters why does the sun goddess son have a fascination with me?" I feel a soothing touch as I look up i see a soft smile on my mothers face. 

"I see, I guess there is a lot to discuss isn't there. One thing at a time. Yes you do have powers you have both the dark and moon in you. You are the most powerful child ever born of the moon goddess and now there is no longer a god of darkness all that power rests in you. There is no way to teach you. It is all innate when the time comes you will know what to do. Yes eventually you will become the next moon goddess as to when you take over i do not know. As for you and Jason, you shall never lose eachother once you are marked and mated fully you shall no longer age. You will still be able to bear children however only 1 child you have shall become a the future moon goddess. The sad truth is you may have multiple children over your long life however you will watch the others grow and age and see them pass." I see a sad smile cross her face almost as if she is reliving memories. 

"As for this daylighter he is a power hungry i***t who wants what he can't have. The sum goddess doesn't pair anyone with mates so they have no respect for the special bonds we have." She looks me dead in the eye

"Believe in your self you are far stronger than you think" she leans in and kisses me on the forehead. " your father wants a word with you" she smiles and leaves so my father and I can have some time together.

 He pulls me close and strokes my hair. It is so soothing memories of him doing this to me as a child come flooding back and I welcome these wonderful memories. 

"My darling I have just one warning about the power of mine that has been passed to you. The god of darkness isn't just about the absence of light but also dark desires and darkness within a person leading to horrific acts. Use your powers wisely and don't sarcoma to the darkness as it is all to easy. Use the light of the moon to balance you and your feelings" he says 

"Yes Father" I say nodding taking in everything he says. 

"When did you start calling me father? It make me feel old" I laugh as he fakes pulling a hurt face. 

" Well you are old Daddy" I can't control my laughter as the words leave my mouth. 

"Thats it missy" he chims as he begins to tickle me. I cant stop laughing. I don't remember the last time I laughed this much. 

"Seems like you to are having a good time" my mother grins. "You haven't changed one bit" 

She come to sit next to me as I try to compose myself. As I sit there tear start to stream down my face. I begin to sob. 

"Whats the matter darling?" My mother says lifting my chin to look at her. 

"I just missed you both so much, I have lived most of my life thinking you were dead but here we are together again. And I have a mate! And I am a demi-goddess. I mean so much has happened and changed and I am so happy" I sob. 

"Ow you soppy sod now" my father says nudging me.  "We are all together again. And I must say you have a fine mate Sophie. Did you know when he turned 18 we came back here to speak to his family and I swore to us that day he would not go looking or think about his mate until he returned you to us". 

"He is pretty amazing isn't he?" I beam as I wipe the last tear from my cheek. 

"That he is my dear" my mother coos.
