The Unknown

Chapter 11

After sitting in silence for a while I lay down with my head in Jason's lap he runs his hands through my hair as I stare up at the night sky. The stars glisten against the dark nights back drop. The moons radiance washes over me and I feel renewed. 

"It's strange, I have always admired the moon and the excitement and tranquility of the night. But I have seen a night so perfect. I guess out here nights are like this away from the city's light pollution" I say looking up at Jason. 

"Well, I have never had a night like this before" he rubs the back of his neck 

"What do you mean?" I sit up and look deep into his eyes. 

"Umm, well I have never brought anyone else here". 

"How come? I mean surely there has been someone else you would have brought here"

 "Nope never, I was raised to believe that my mate was the only person to be close to" He rubs his neck and looks away. "I always wanted this to be a special place and my parents instilled in me that if somewhere was special to me then I should keep it as mine until I meet my mate chosen by the moon goddess"

"Must have been nice to have that sort of up brining" I say looking down, wishing I could have had something similar with my own parents. I guess I envy him in some ways.

"Yes it was as I have always come here at night on my own. It means that tonight is special for us" he brushes his fingers down my face, my eyes close to the feel of his touch. "I have a small cabin at the other end of this clearing that I have been building as my home for when I found my mate and we start our family" he shifts awkwardly and it is adorable " I don't want to scare you off at the thought of pups" 

I let out a giggle " you couldn't scare me off Jason" i lean over and kiss him on the cheek. He places his hand on the side of my face and gently runs his thumb along my cheek bone I can feel his hot breath against my skin. My breath catches. I don't know why I feel nervous, but butterflies start in my stomach. I hunger to feel his lips on mine. His warm passionate kiss  his tongue dancing with mine, I need to feel it again. He teases me with a small kiss on the end of my nose. I grunt with the teasing. He lets out a little laugh, and it is infectious. I can't help but let out a laugh as well. I am knocked out of the laugher as his lips crash with mine. The hunger I felt is met with everything I wanted. I pull back to take a breath, my heart pounding in my chest. We both lay down on the blanket I curl into his side with my head on his chest, he pulls me close placing a kiss on the top of my head. The gentle beating of his heart is so soothing I feel myself getting tired and I let out a small yawn. 

"Tired moonflower?" He asks.

"A little I guess come on, you can stay here tonight" he says. 

"Okay" I nod "But I have to be back in time for my personal training session" 

" You don't need a personal trainer now you can train here with us. I can help you train if you like" he winks. As he stands and picks me up, his warmth is everything I feel so relaxed and safe. I feel his body pressed against mine with each movement his body moves against mine, he is pure ecstacy. After a while I can't fight it any more and feel myself drifting further and further into sleep. 

I am pulled from my sleeping state as I feel Jason put me down on the most comfortable bed. But I feel cold, shivers run down my spine. I want his warmth back. I slowly open my eyes to look for him. As i find him I see him pull on a t-shirt and grab a pillow walking towards  the sofa in his room. 

"Hey" I say in a really sleepy voice "what are you doing?" I stretch propping myself up on my elbow. 

"I didn't want to disturb you" he shrugs. 

 Patting the bed next to me I yawn, "come sleep here" i see a smile cross his face and he nods in agreement and I close my eyes. I feel the bed dip and his warmth incases me as he wraps his arm around me and pulls me into his side. With his warmth and the sound of the gentle beating of his heart, I am pulled back into the darkness of deep sleep.
