As we walk further I notice a gazebo with a table and chairs set up. As we walk closer I can see candles lit on the table as soft music plays in the background I hear the words 'you look perfect tonight' sung I'm a very familiar voice and I know that it is Ed Sheran. Jason pulls me close and begins to sway to the music and sing along in almost a whisper so only I can hear him.
I have to be honest I am such a girl and love romantic things like this. He spins me out and releases my hand. As I turn back to him I see him stood there holding a black velvet jewelry box.
No not that sort of box.
It was too large for a ring but as I open it I can't help but gasp and cover my mouth with my free hand. Im through box is the most beautiful sapphire and diamond necklace. The sapphire is so dark that it reminds me of the night and the diamond reminding me of the moon. It is breathtaking taking.
"I take it you like it" Jason says releasing a breath i don't think he knew he was holding.
"No i don't like it" I beam which gets me a questionable look " I love it, can you help me put it on" I turn and as I do he places the necklace around my neck and fastens it. His fingers grazing my neck as he does, sending sparks flying at the contact. Once it's clasped I'm spun back around, body flush to his. My breath catching at the back of my throat. My eyes darting from his eyes to his lips and in seconds he catches my lips with his with a soft and gentle kiss filled with love and longing. As we separate we walk over to the gazebo. He pulls out a chair for me to sit. We both sit and enjoy our meal talking about this and that. But as he's talking I can see there is something else he wants to ask.
"So are you going to ask me your burning question" he looks a little shocked by my bluntness "it's written all over your face"
He clears his throat and takes my hand. "Sophie, I know you are our future goddess. You are my one and only true mate. I know I've introduced you to the pack as my mate, but would you do me the honor of becoming and taking on the role of my pack"s Luna?"
I sit there slightly stunned but I can't stop the smile growing across my face "I would love that" I say jumping across the table into his lap.
"Thank the goddess you said that" I chuckle at what he just said "you know what I mean" I says trying to roll his eyes but just ends up laughing with me.
I stay curled up im his lap. Lapping up his scent when the most revolting smell invaded my senses. I rub my nose to try get rid of the smell but it just gets stronger. "What's the matter moonflower?"
" what can't you smell it?" I look at him in disbelief. Then a familiar pungent smell hits me causing me to feel sick to my stomach. I know exactly who it is.
Jason inhales deeply muttering "daylighters" looking at me I can see his wolf has taken over. "Pack house now" and then he shifts into his magnificent wolf.
"Let me help you" I plead.
"No get to the pack house now" he says staring at me. "We both know they are hear for you. I want you safe we would never forgive ourself if anything happens to you" he turns and darts off to the border where the scent is coming from. I shift and run to the house seeing different members running in all directions I shift back and help get all elderly pack members, mothers and children into the safe room. Once I have all of the non combatant pack members to safety I close the door. But before I close it I hear a small voice asking why I'm not in there with them. I kneel down picking up the small pup and pop him on my knee. "I have to go help Alpha Jason. Can you do me a huge favour?" To which he eagerly nods his head. "Can you look after everyone here for me? I'm sure some of them are scared and you are such a brave young wolf"
"I can do it Luna" he pulls me into a hug and places a kiss on my cheek. "Your the best Luna, i won't let you down" I pop him back on the floor and close the door behind me securely. Both my parents are at the door to the pack house.
"He's here for me" I state plainly. There is no other way about it. I hear growls followed by howls and panic sets in. I begin to run towards the sound shifting as I run.
