~Ava~ The afternoon dragged on and on uncomfortable, and impossible to ignore. Chloe had been glued to Jax’s side since breakfast, posting stories of them “chilling at his place” like anyone cared, while I hid in my room pretending to study but really just doom-scrolling and hating everything. Riley kept popping in with updates like a shitty news ticker. “Chloe just asked Mom if she can stay for dinner,” Riley said, flopping onto my bed for the third time in an hour. “Mom said yes. Obviously.” I groaned into my pillow. “Kill me now.” “Too late. You already died when you dry-humped your stepbrother on the porch while his girlfriend was inside taking selfies.” “Shut up.” She laughed. “Nah. This is too good. Your life is a reality show and I’m the producer.” I threw my phone at her. She dodged. Then her face changed, eyes wide, mouth open like she’d seen a ghost. “What?” I sat up. “Chloe just texted the group chat. Her dad’s coming to pick her up. Like, now. In ten minutes.” I blinked. “So? Good riddance.” Riley stared at me like I was slow. “Ava. Her dad. Professor Calder.” My brain blue-screened. Professor Calder. The same Professor Calder who taught my lit seminar, the one who always lingered after class to “discuss my thesis points” with that low, teasing voice and those stupid wire-frame glasses that made him look like he belonged in a cologne ad. The one I’d spent way too many late nights thinking about in ways that would get me expelled if anyone knew. The one who’d once said, mid-lecture, “Miss Ava, your analysis is… penetrating,” and I’d nearly choked on my water. No. No no no no. “That’s not… ” I started. Riley nodded slowly. “It is. Chloe’s last name is Calder, he should be her step dad if not her real dad cuz she has two last names. I just connected the dots like five seconds ago. How did we not know this?” “Because we’re idiots,” I whispered. “Because the universe hates me.” Downstairs, the doorbell rang. Riley grabbed my arm. “Come on. You have to see this.” “I’d rather gouge my eyes out.” “Too bad. Family duty.” She dragged me down the stairs. Everyone was already in the foyer, Mom beaming, Dad shaking hands, Jax standing stiffly with his arms crossed, Chloe bouncing on her toes like an excited puppy. And there he was. Professor Calder. Tall. Dark hair streaked with a little silver that only made him hotter. Button-down rolled to the elbows. That same easy smile he wore when he handed back essays. He looked up as we came down. Our eyes met. His smile widened, just a fraction. The same one he gave me when I answered correctly in class. “Miss Ava,” he said smoothly. I wanted the floor to open up and swallow me whole. “Professor Calder,” I managed. My voice cracked on the second syllable. Riley made a strangled noise next to me. Chloe hugged him. “Dad! You’re early!” “Traffic was light.” He kissed the top of her head, then looked back at me. “Small world.” “Tiny,” I said weakly. Jax’s eyes flicked between us. Narrowed. I could practically hear the gears turning in his head. Mom clapped her hands. “Well, come in for a minute! Coffee? Water? We’re so glad Chloe could join us.” Professor Calder waved a hand. “I’d love to, but I’ve got office hours in an hour. Just need to use your bathroom if that’s alright? Long drive.” “Of course!” Mom gestured down the hall. “First door on the left.” He nodded thanks, brushed past me on his way, close enough I smelled his cologne. Same one he wore to class. Same one I’d noticed every Tuesday and Thursday for months. My knees almost buckled. Riley elbowed me so hard I yelped. “Ow!” “You’re drooling,” she hissed. “I am not!” “You literally are. Wipe your chin.” I swiped at my face. Dry. b***h. Professor Calder disappeared down the hall. Chloe started chattering about some weekend plan with Jax. Jax grunted responses, but his eyes kept sliding to me. Dark. Annoyed. Jealous? Maybe or probably not. I needed air. Or to disappear. Or both. “I’ll… be right back,” I muttered. Riley grabbed my wrist. “Don’t you dare.” “Too late.” I slipped away, heart hammering, and followed the hallway like I was on autopilot. The bathroom door was cracked. I pushed it open without knocking. I watched while he peed, his hands around his big and too fresh d**k(too fresh d**k sounded like a good nick name for him) he had a d**k too fresh for his age and when he noticed me, he was washing his hands. He looked up in the mirror. Didn’t look surprised. “Miss Ava,” he said again. Soft. Amused. “Following me?” I shut the door behind me. Locked it. “I can’t believe this,” I blurted. “You’re Chloe’s dad. I’ve been… God, I’ve been thirsting over my stepbrother’s girlfriend’s dad. This is actual hell.” He turned slowly. Dried his hands on the towel. Stepped closer. “Thirsting?” he repeated. One eyebrow up. That same teasing tone from class. I swallowed. “Don’t act like you didn’t notice.” He laughed low. “I noticed.” I backed up. Hit the sink. He kept coming. Slowly. “Question is,” he said, voice dropping, “are you still thirsting? Or did seeing me in your house kill the fantasy?” I stared at his mouth. At the way his lips curved. “I… ” My voice cracked. “I’m still… yeah. f**k. I’m still thirsting.” He closed the last step. Braced one hand on the sink beside me. The other came up, thumb brushing my jaw. “Then we have a problem,” he murmured. “Big problem,” I agreed. He leaned in. I met him halfway. The kiss was instant, hot, deep, no hesitation. His mouth was firm and confident, tongue sliding against mine like he’d been waiting for this exact moment. Long. Slowly . He tasted like mint, so fresh and smelled so good. I moaned into his mouth. I couldn’t help it. He pulled back just enough to speak against my lips. “Quiet, sweetheart. Wouldn’t want anyone hearing.” “Don’t care,” I whispered. He chuckled. “Yes you do.” His hand slid to my hip. Squeezed. Then lower, cupping my ass, pulling me flush against him. I felt how hard he was. Jesus. “Professor… ” “Calder,” he corrected. “Or just Calder. No titles right now.” “Calder,” I breathed. He kissed me again, deeper this time. Tongue stroking mine in this slow, filthy rhythm that made my head spin. His other hand slipped under my hoodie, fingers splaying over bare skin, thumb brushing the underside of my breast. I arched into him. “God,” I gasped when he broke away. “Your tongue…” “Like it?” “I’m gonna lose my mind.” He smirked. Dropped to his knees. My brain short-circuited. “What are you…” “Shh.” He hooked his fingers in my leggings. Paused. Looked up at me. “Yes?” I nodded so fast my neck hurt. “Yes. Please.” He tugged them down, slowly , torturing along with my underwear. Cool air hit me. I shivered. He spread my thighs with his hands. Looked at me like I was dessert. “Beautiful,” he muttered. Then he leaned in. The first lick was slow, flat tongue dragging from bottom to top. I slapped a hand over my mouth to muffle the whimper. He groaned against me. The vibration made my knees buckle. “f**k Calder… ” He did it again. Deeper. Tongue pushing inside, then out, circling my c**t with these perfect, lazy strokes. Long tongue. God, that long tongue. He used every inch, flicking, swirling, sucking gently then harder. I grabbed his hair. Pulled. He growled in approval. “More,” I begged. “Please don’t stop… ” He didn’t. He ate me like he was starving, slow at first, savoring, then faster, tongue thrusting in rhythm with his fingers gripping my thighs. I rocked against his face. “You taste so good,” he murmured between licks. Voice muffled. Wrecked. I whined. High and desperate. “Be a good girl for me,” he said, pulling back just enough to look up. Lips shiny. Eyes dark. “Stay quiet. Let me make you cum.” I nodded frantically. “I’ll be good. Promise. Just please… ” He dove back in. Sucked my c**t hard. I shattered. Legs shaking, hand clamped over my mouth, eyes rolling back. I came so hard I saw stars. He kept going lapping slowly now, drawing it out until I was whimpering from oversensitivity. Finally he pulled away. Kissed my inner thigh. I stood up. I was a mess, pants around my knees, face flushed, breathing ragged. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Smirked. “Still thirsting?” he asked. I laughed shaky, breathless. “More than ever.” He kissed me again. I tasted myself on his tongue. Salty. Sweet and filthy. “Gotta go,” he said against my lips. “Office hours.” I whined. “No.” “Yes.” He fixed my leggings for me, gentle, almost sweet. “But this isn’t over.” He unlocked the door. Paused. “See you in class, Miss Ava.” Then he was gone. I stood there for a solid minute. Legs jelly. Brain fried. Opened the door. Riley was in the hallway. Arms crossed. Mouth open. “You did not,” she whispered. I winced. “I did.” She stared. Then burst out laughing so hard she had to lean against the wall. “Oh my God. You just got eaten out by Chloe’s dad. In our bathroom. While her boyfriend your stepbrother was ten feet away.” I covered my face. “I hate my life.” “No you don’t.” She wiped tears from her eyes. “This is the funniest s**t that’s ever happened to anyone.” Downstairs, I heard Chloe yelling bye to her dad. Car starting. Pulling away. Jax appeared at the end of the hall. Saw us. Saw my face red, wrecked, guilty. His eyes narrowed. And Riley smart b***h “I'll keep Chloe busy.” she muttered and moved over to her while Jax moved towards me.
