Silver Moon Pack's territory was a place of sacred ground, where every wolf, regardless of rank, respected the laws set by their Alpha. It was a territory no outsider would dare to cross, knowing well that the wolves of Silver Moon were fiercely loyal and deadly.
Jake, the pack's Alpha, led with unparalleled wisdom and strength. He was the embodiment of a father figure to every wolf in his care, fiercely protective of his pack, ensuring that no wolf was left to suffer in silence, regardless of their rank.
In his eyes, every wolf was equal, and none would ever be treated less than anyone else, especially not Omegas or Betas, who were too often disregarded in other packs.
But now, everything is broken.
Why?
The sudden disappearance of their youngest member, their beloved pup, Jay Vale, left a hole so deep in the heart of Silver Moon that the pack could feel it in the air itself.
Jay, the Alpha's only son, had vanished, and the fear that rippled through the pack was unlike anything anyone had ever felt before.
Jake, normally the steady, calm force that held them together, was beside himself with worry. His son, his flesh and blood, was gone. Elia, his mate, was nearly losing her mind.
The weight of the uncertainty was unbearable, but he refused to let panic rule him. The Alpha was doing everything he could, his every action driven by the one thought he would find son, no matter what it took.
But even his strength had limits, and deep down, he knew there was one wolf who would stop at nothing to bring his little pup back, his younger sister.
Who was a different kind of Alpha. Unlike Jake, who carried herself with calm authority, she exuded a raw, untamed power. She was a force of nature, indifferent to anyone who wasn't family or a trusted ally.
She cared for nothing and no one, except for those she loved. And the love she had for her family, especially her nephew, was something fierce, something that could not be broken.
Youngest Vale was known to be a wolf who didn't mince words or hide her intentions. If anyone thought they could harm her family, they would regret it. The thought of her nephew, being in danger, was enough to send her into a rage that no one could control.
Jake knew what his sister was capable of. And as much as he needed his son back, he understood that when she found out what had happened, there would be no stopping her. The entire world would feel the wrath of the youngest Vale.
But as much as Jake feared what she might do, he knew one thing for certain .....he couldn't let his sister act recklessly. Elio was already losing her mind, barely holding on to her composure with every passing second.
Jake knew he had to stay with her....his mate needed him, needed his strength to help calm her down.
The rest of the pack was in turmoil too, and he couldn't leave everything to them. Not yet. His sister would be here soon enough, and when that happened, there would be no turning back.
"Jake, please do something," Elia's voice cracked, her eyes wide with fear as she turned to his mate. "I can't...I can't....I can't lose him, Jake. I want my baby back, safe."
Jake's heart broke at the sight of Elia, his beautiful mate, unraveling before his eyes. He was strong...he had to be strong, for both of them. With a deep breath, Jake placed a steady hand on Elia's trembling shoulder, his voice calm, though his heart was anything but.
"I'm doing everything I can, love. I swear, I'll find him. You know I won't stop until I do, nothing will happen to our champ." Jake whispered, the weight of his words sinking in. His eyes drifted momentarily to the window, as if hoping the sight of the forest outside would offer some sign, some hope. But the forest stood still, unmoving, indifferent to the pain gnawing at his soul.
Elia's face crumpled, the emotions overwhelming her. "I can't do this, Jake. What if something happens to him.....my b-bear....what will ..." She whispered brokenly. Her voice was raw, filled with fear that threatened to suffocate him.
Jake stepped closer, wrapping his arms around Elia, pulling her into a comforting embrace. Her scent, the familiar, earthy aroma that always calmed her, filled Jake's senses. He needed to be strong for both of them. Elia couldn't see it, but Jake could feel the distant rumble of alpha's presence drawing closer. His younger sister was on her way.
The pack had always respected Jake, and yet they feared younger. She was ruthless, unwavering, and loyal only to her family. But when the time came, the pack knew there would be nothing they could do to stop her. No one knew the depths of her love for the little boy but Jake and Elia knew it well.
If anyone could find their son in a heartbeat, it was the alpha. But once she got involved, there would be no stopping her. And that thought sent a chill down their spine.
Just then, the distant sound of a howl pierced through the night. It was low, but unmistakable. She had arrived.
"Jake, you know what she'll do when she finds out. We have to calm her first. She'll hurt himself if ... " Elia whispered, her voice trembling.
Jake nodded, his heart heavy. He knew the storm was coming. His sister was here. And when she found out what had happened to her little heart' nothing would stop her from tearing apart whoever was responsible.
"We'll do this together,' Jake said, his voice firm despite the turmoil inside. He wouldn't let his pack fall apart. And no matter what happened, he would protect his family. "We find Jay, and then we'll deal with everything else."
As the howl echoed through the pack's land, the Alpha knew that his worst fear was already becoming a reality. Selene had arrived. And with her, a storm was about to break loose.
-----
The dense woods surrounding Silver Moon Pack's territory seemed to close in as Sorin, Sam, and Jiun moved through the underbrush with urgency. The chill in the air was unsettling, and the weight of their mission pressed heavily on their shoulders. Jay, still unconscious in Sorin's arms, barely stirred, his feverish body a constant reminder of the trauma he had just endured.
The tension was suffocating. Sorin's protective instincts were on high alert. He kept his gaze shifting between his companions and the path ahead, knowing that the moment they crossed fully into Silver Moon territory, there would be no turning back.
Sam glanced over his shoulder at Sorin, his face lined with concern. "Alpha, we're getting close. Are you sure about this? We still don't know what we're walking into." His voice was a mixture of worry and determination.
''I don't have a choice," Sorin muttered, his voice low, filled with resolve. His grip on Jay tightened as the little boy stirred slightly in his arms. "Jay's not in good shape. His parents need to know what happened." He glanced at Sam and Jiun. "And we need answers. This isn't just about saving him anymore. There's something bigger going on, and I need to know who's behind this."
Jiun nodded grimly, his eyes scanning the shadows. "We'll stick to the plan. Get Jay to his family, stay low, and make sure nothing goes wrong. We can't afford any more risks to the little pup."
The trio fell into a tense silence as they neared the edge of the territory, Sorin's voice broke the silence.
"Pup… do you remember where your house is? Can you tell me where it is? We'll take you there."
Sorin's words were soft, careful, as if the boy might break under the weight of them. He wasn't sure how much Jay could process in his state. The trauma the little pup had gone through was unimaginable.
Jay's body tensed in Sorin's arms, and his eyes fluttered open for a brief moment, weak and unfocused. The boy's lips trembled, and for a moment, Sorin thought he might not answer.
But then, Jay's voice, barely a whisper, emerged. "Pack house… Alpha…" His words were broken, but they carried with them a deep sense of longing, of something familiar that he could barely grasp.
His eyes fluttered shut again as exhaustion claimed him, but there was something in the way he said it that made Sorin's heart clench.
"Pack house?" Sam repeated, looking back at Sorin with a frown. "Isn't that where their Alpha lives? Why does he want us to take him there? We should ask someone..What if they....."
Sorin interrupted, his voice firm. "No, if he means the main pack house, we'll get him there. His parents need to know what happened. I don't care if I have to take down anyone even their head alpha." He glanced down at Jay, his face softening.
Jiun looked uncertain but nodded. "If that's what you think is best, then we're with you but please try to remain calm."
Sorin shifted Jay in his arms, adjusting the boy's position so that he was cradled more securely. "Hang in there, little one," he murmured softly.
The little boy's head shifted slightly on alpha's chest, a faint sound of relief escaping his lips, though his body remained still. Sorin could feel the heat radiating from Jay's feverish body, and his worry deepened. The longer they took, the more dangerous this would become.
As they continued forward, the towering trees gradually parted, revealing the sprawling pack house in the distance. It was majestic, a blend of strength and elegance, built to withstand the harshest of storms.
"That's it," Sorin whispered, his heart pounding faster in his chest. "The pack house. We're almost there."
Sam and Jiun exchanged tense glances, then turned their focus back to the path ahead. The tension in the air had thickened, and as they approached the entrance, Sorin could feel the hairs on the back of his neck standing on end. This wasn't just about returning Jay to safety anymore. This was about finding out what had really happened and dealing with whatever lay ahead.
They approached the gates slowly, wary of any movement. But as they crossed the threshold, the quiet stillness was broken by the sudden sound of heavy footsteps.
A figure emerged from the shadows, tall and imposing, with eyes that glowed like molten silver under the moonlight. It was a wolf, but not just any wolf....this was the one that holds the power.
"Sorin," the voice came out low, rich, and dangerous. It was a voice Sorin knew all too well, one that struck fear and respect into the hearts of even the bravest wolves but Sorin didn't bulge a bit. A bit shocked to see the male here but his voice broke through his thoughts and brought the alpha back to his surroundings.
"Dani? You here?" Sorin said, his voice strained, but resolute.
The said male, Dani's eyes locked onto the unconscious boy in Sorin's arms, and for a moment, his expression softened with recognition.
Then, just as quickly, it hardened again. "Yes, it's me, alpha Aldric. W-What happened to him?" he growled, his voice like a rumble of thunder.
"We don't know all the details yet," Sorin replied, his voice steady despite the tension building. ''But he was attacked, Alpha wolves. Rogue ones, more powerful than anything he's seen before. They left him for dead.
Dani's eyes flicked between Jay and Sorin, his jaw tightening. "I need to get him inside, now." His voice was sharp, and his command was clear.
Sorin nodded, stepping forward with Sam and Jiun at his back. "We're with you. We'll stay close. We don't know who did this yet, but something bigger is at play. We need to figure it out. Lead the way."
Dani didn't answer immediately, his focus entirely on Jay. He moved forward, bowing to the true blood before guiding them toward the pack house with a pace that was both urgent and calculated.
"We'll figure it out. And whoever did this to young master, will not stay alive anymore!" Deni said, which didn't go unheard by the three alphas.
