"Yoona," Jungkook rasped, turning to face the older Alpha, his expression hard. "I can't do this anymore. I can't stand her suffering and not being able to help. I need to find her." Yoona stepped closer, her dark eyes flickering with a mix of concern and warning. "You're not ready, Rin. The bond between you two... it's dangerous. You can't just run off and find her. Not when you're still a child in so many ways. You don't even know where she is. It'll tear you apart." "But I feel her!" Sorin snarled, his eyes glowing faintly, the silver hue of his wolf beginning to take over. His teeth sharpened, and his nails elongated into claws, his power surging violently through his body. "I can feel her pain every single day. But at night... it's like.... it's tearing me to shreds. Like she's drowning, and I can't reach her." His voice cracked with emotion, and his wolf snarled in response, pressing against him like a caged beast. Yoona took a step back, his own Alpha aura flaring as he prepared to calm Sorin down. "You think I don't feel it too?!" Yoona's voice was fierce now, her own pain cutting through. "I feel the pull to my mate every single day. But I'm not out there chasing him. I can't afford to let my emotions control me, Rin. It's not just about you anymore. There are consequences to everything. If you act on your feelings, if you go running into the unknown, you could destroy yourself. And you're not the only one who's involved in this." Sorin's breath hitched at the words, his body trembling as the bond with his mate pulsed again, more fiercely now, like a firestorm inside his chest. He closed his eyes, clenching his fists at his sides. But even as Yoona's words rang in his ears, the pain in his chest only grew. He had to do something. He could feel his mate slipping further away, drowning in his own suffering, and he was powerless to stop it. "I'm not going to sit here and do nothing," Sorin finally spat, his voice sharp. He was barely holding it together. His Alpha strength, raw and untamed, surged through him as he released the leash on his powers, summoning a wave of pure, untamed energy that made the air around them vibrate with intensity. The trees in the distance shook as if they were caught in a violent storm, the ground trembling beneath their feet. The weather indicated changes in the surroundings but Yoona thought it was younger alpha's power but it wasn't the reason!! The night was suffocating. The pull of the bond, the ache in Sorin's chest, was unbearable. His breath came in shallow, desperate gasps, his pulse erratic and thundering through his veins, as if his very heart were about to burst free from his ribcage. The bond to his mate twisted and coiled inside him, a flame scorching him from the inside out. Every heartbeat was a cry for something... someone...he could not yet touch, not yet reach. The urge to run, to chase down the only thing that could quiet the storm within him, gnawed at his every thought. Yoona's voice was a distant echo in his ears, the words fading away, drowned out by the roar of his own heartbeat, the overwhelming urgency to act. To do something. Anything. Anything to stop the ache. He couldn't stand it anymore. Before his mind could even catch up to his body, Jungkook was already gone. A guttural growl erupted from his throat, feral and desperate, as his body surged into motion. There was no hesitation, no doubt. His instincts had taken over, each step pounding with the ferocity of a wolf caged too long, a predator desperate to reclaim what was his. The earth beneath his feet trembled with the power of his stride, the ground shuddering with the force of his need to move. He had to find her. He had to find his mate. The wind lashed at his face, but it did nothing to slow him. The forest around him blurred as he tore through it, the trees and the underbrush a mere blur in his peripheral vision. His mind, driven by the primal connection of the bond, focused only on one thing: the scent. His mate. The moon hung high in the sky, its silver light slicing through the trees, but even the moon's soft glow couldn't drown out the burning ache in his chest. The scent of his mate was the only thing that mattered. The only thing that could bring him peace. And then, suddenly, it hit him. A scent. Faint at first, like a whisper on the wind. A fragrance so familiar, so intoxicating, it sent shivers down his spine. Wet soil. Rain. But beneath it, something else. Something that made his heart stutter, something that made his very soul ache. His mate. The earth beneath his feet seemed to pull him forward, guiding him as his every breath took in the intoxicating smell. His wolf roared within him, recognition flaring as it pressed forward with a newfound urgency. This was it. His mate. So close. So close he could almost taste it. The trees parted before him, the mist from the waterfall swirling around his feet, thickening the night air. The sound of rushing water crashed into his ears, but it was nothing compared to the rapid beat of his heart. It was nothing compared to the pounding in his chest, the way his very body ached for what was just ahead. And then, there she was. A figure stood by the base of the waterfall, her back to Sorin. The moon's light bathed her in an ethereal glow, making the figure seem almost otherworldly. The waterfall's roar behind him was muted in comparison to the deafening roar of Sorin's heartbeat as he stood frozen in place. His mate. Sorin's breath hitched as his gaze swept over her, unable to look away. The girl's hair clungs damp to her pale skin, dark strands falling across her face, cascading down her back like liquid silk. Her body was lean, frame tall and sharp, defined beneath the wet fabric of her clothes. Every movement of her body, even the soft sway as the water's mist kissed her skin, was a thing of beauty, of grace. Alpha's heart pounded in his chest, a wild, frantic beat that echoed in his ears. His breath was shallow, erratic, as he stepped closer to the girl standing by the waterfall. The bond was stronger than ever, pulling him in with an intensity he had never known. It was as if he had finally found the missing piece of himself, the one person who had been haunting his every waking moment, the one whose presence he had longed for in the deepest parts of his soul. But it was the look in her eyes, those dark, haunted eyes that made Jungkook's heart stutter painfully. There was a flicker of something there. Fear. Pain. Desperation. Sorin's breath caught in his throat. She turned then, slowly, as though the very act of facing Sorin was too much to bear. Her eyes locked with Sorin's, and for the briefest of moments, everything stopped. The world around them ceased to exist. The wind is still. The moon's light seemed to sharpen. Everything was him. But as soon as their gazes met, something shifted. A flicker in her eyes. A flash of something darker, something torn. The bond between them pulsed painfully, as if their souls were screaming to be united, to close the space between them, but the female seemed to shrink back, stepping away, her hands trembling by her sides. Her breath quickened, chest rising and falling at a rapid, shallow pace. Fear..
