“What will we do now? She hasn’t returned to us yet?” a male’s voice was talking in his room. Somebody seemed to be with him.
“Maybe she got held up and had to deal with something?” a girl’s voice answered.
Raven and Danny were talking to each other. Raven was a scientist. She could come up with anything. She had made love potions and growth serums in the past. Both successful, but no doubt caused disaster. Danny was the prince of Heaven. He was usually seen in his palace taking care of the people that died and went to heaven. He wasn’t book smart like Raven, nor was he street-smart like Jake, he was pretty predictable. With the power of light he can cast good judgment on those who should have it.
“We need to finish the meeting. I have some unsettling news about our dear friend Clan Rurah. Trust me, it is not pleasant,” Danny said with closed eyes and a frown on his face.
“Her butler would have called me if he sensed she was in danger. So I think she is fine,” Raven shrugged.
“He wouldn’t be able to report to you if he got destroyed,” Danny huffed.
“That would be impossible. He is indestructible. The only way to shut him down completely would be to take his soul sphere out of his chest. I would know. I made him myself,” Raven sneered.
“I still have a bad feeling. I know we made her angry at the meeting, but there is no way she would just disappear for this long without telling us she had something important to do,” Danny said impatiently.
A woman walked in Danny’s room. She was expressionless.
“Zina?” Danny whispered.
“I don’t think she abandoned us,” Zina sighed.
“Then what do you think happened?” Raven asked. She had an evil smile on her face.
Zina’s ears tilted back some, upon seeing Raven’s expression, “I got a call from her butler. Apparently she was supposed to deal with a village where the village people were rioting, but when she got their all of the villagers up and vanished. She was talking to him, but then he got cut off from her unexpectedly,” Zina continued sighing.
“You mean that Sin didn’t kill the villagers this time?” Raven laughed.
“This isn’t funny. This is serious,” Danny glared at Raven.
“He’s right this is serious. Before Sin even got there the villagers mysteriously vanished, and before Sin was cut off from her butler he sensed a presence of a strong danger,” Zina whispered.
“He didn’t know what it was?” Raven asked, suddenly interested.
“No, he couldn’t find out what it was, he searched the database dozens of times. He thinks it’s one of his own,” Zina answered.
“Another Mechanical person? There’s no possible way! I’m the only one who can create them!” Raven yelled out.
“Apparently, that’s not true anymore Raven,” Danny stepped in, “So now what do we do? Wait till we hear from Sin?” Danny added.
“That I do not know. Only people invited to Hell by Sin may enter the place. For now we must wait,” Zina bowed her head low, tears started to trickle along her cheeks.
Zina, Danny, and Sin were triplets. Sin the queen of Hell, Danny the prince of Heaven, and Zina the elemental dragon. The only one in existence. Sin was a legendary Hell dragon, while Danny was a legendary Heaven dragon. Once together they can beat any foe. Though this hasn’t happened yet, due to Sin and Danny hating each other so much they even refuse to touch fingers.
“Waiting? Has something gone wrong with our leader?” a girl’s voice giggled.
“Dexie! Were you spying on our conversation again?” Danny glared.
“Torra and Tarra aren’t much fun, but you guys, you guys sure make life interesting,” Dexie laughed.
“Only you could find our leader missing this funny,” Zina snapped.
“So she’s gone?” Torra asked.
“She’s not gone Torra. She just ran into something troublesome,” Tarra answered.
“Well, well looks like the party is all here, accept for Experiment Six, and Noel,” Dexie smiled.
“Noel is sulking in his bedroom,” Torra said.
“Experiment Six is raging,” Tarra added.
“The twins?” Danny looked astonished.
“Who knew a boy and a girl could get along so well, especially siblings” Raven said cheerfully, “I must add this to my studies,” she added.
Both Torra and Tarra gulped and looked at each other with fear smacked on their faces.
“Honestly…” Zina face palmed.
“You want to know what I heard?” Dexie said, suddenly trying to get everyone interested in what she had to say.
“Your head is actually full of hot air and you want to jump off a cliff?” Danny asked hopefully.
Dexie frowned, “No.”
“Oh,” Danny answered back, a little disappointed.
Dexie glared at Danny with disappointment herself, then continued speaking, “There has recently been a person who made it to the top. He calls himself king of the chessboard. Rumors tell; he uses life like a chessboard, his pawns do his dirty work, his knights fight for him, his priests protect him but he is missing his queen. They say he is searching for his queen, appearing in dreams of those he redeems good enough to be his queen. The rumors also say, he has killed many people to come into power,” Dexie said looking proud.
“Those are just rumors. They usually aren’t true Dexie,” Raven said looking bored.
“Of course you would think that. You’re a seven year old scientist,” Dexie stuck out her tongue.
“Raven’s right. Just because they are rumors doesn’t necessarily make them all true,” Tarra agreed.
Torra nodded.
Dexie blushed, and stomped out of the room.
“She’s so hot tempered she burns my skin,” Danny choked up a laugh.
The phone started to ring. Zina pounced on it and quickly answered, “Hello? Sin? Butler?” she cried.
“This is Sin’s butler, just to inform you Sin has made it back. She looks unharmed,” the butler answered.
Zina let out a deep sigh of relief and looked at the others, “Butler says Sin made it back without a scratch on her,” she smiled.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
“What happened?” Zina asked quickly putting the phone to her ear, and turning to face the wall. It was like she was trying to hide what she was going to hear from everyone else. She was on the phone; nobody would be able to hear her anyways.
“My lady said she saw a girl in white, with pink eyes, that looked like a child came into her view and crushed the ear bud. My lady said that it was the girl that annihilated the villagers,” Butler answered.
“Did Sin give a name?” Zina asked, a less worried expression clung to her face.
“Alice,” he answered back.
“Alice? Alice who?” Zina asked again.
“I have searched, but could find no such person in my database. As you know, I am installed to know everything. But, no the less, Alice isn’t in my database. Which means she was manufactured without a label,” he claimed.
“That doesn’t sound good to me,” Zina sighed, “Tell Sin to come back after she has gotten some rest. It’s been a rough day for her,” and with that Zina hung up.
Everyone turned to look at Zina. Her head hung low, but she had a faint smile on her face, then looked up at everybody with her fake smile, “Sin’s safe, but we don’t know much about the person that came into contact with Sin. All we know is her name. It’s Alice.”
“Alice?” Raven sounded amused.
“You mean Alice in wonderland Alice?” Danny joked.
“No, Butler doesn’t know who or what Alice is. He thinks that Alice is a manufactured person like Raven thought,” Zina confirmed.
“Wow, I never knew there was someone else out there who could manufacture people like I can,” Raven said interested.
“What we need to know is who sent that robot, and why,” Danny said, placing his fingers on his chin. He seemed distracted by thought.
“If Sin doesn’t know, her butler doesn’t know, we won’t know either until Sin finds out,” Zina said. Exhaustion was beginning to coil around her body.
“So there are things even Sin’s butler doesn’t even know?” Torra asked.
“Yes, Torra, nobody can know everything. Not even a supercomputer butler,” Tarra answered Torra.
“Well, now all we do is wait,” Danny sighed.
“Agreed,” Zina agreed.
Everybody nodded and dispersed.

“Sir, I have completed the task you have asked upon me,” Alice bowed.
“Did you trouble her Alice?” the man asked without looking towards her.
“I did not mean to, she was quite bothersome and rather stupid though,” Alice swished her head with anger.
The man stood up, raised his hand, and slapped Alice across the face. The mark of his palm stung and clung to her face. She yelped in pain.
“What was that you just said? Worthless servant,” he glared.
“I’m sorry, I was not thinking. Please forgive me sir,” she bowed.
“You made a wreck of things, not only did you hurt my queen, but now her little friends know about you and they are trying to figure out who you are,” he sat back in his seat, he was still watching Sin, he looked hurt and a bit frustrated.
“That wasn’t my intention sir. I spoke without thinking. I truly am sorry. Forgive me for my sins,” she bowed.
“Leave now and I may think of forgiving you,” he hissed.
“Yes sir,” Alice stood up, and left the room. Lucy came in with a tray and some papers.
“Your sandwich and wine are ready for you sir. It is dinner now,” Lucy set up a stand and place the food on the stand from the tray, “Sareen has completed the research you have asked of her. She looked pleased as she handed it to me to give to you,” Lucy added.
“Thank you,” he took the papers, “Have you fixed your oil leak?” he asked.
“Yes sir. I was sorry to make you upset,” Lucy bowed.
“You didn’t make me upset. I knew you were a failure when I made you, but when you awoke and started to function it amazed me. You may become something worthy of my queen,” the man said, without taking his eyes off of Sin.
“Sir?” she asked, Lucy looked a bit confused of the meaning.
“A mechanical person who developed feelings. My queen could use you. If she got sad, she could talk to you, or if she needed to talk about womanly things she could talk to you. I do wish it upon myself she could talk to me about these things, but I understand there are things only girls can talk about with other girls,” the man said. He picked up his sandwich and wolfed it down. He looked at the papers; a twisted smile approached the corner of his mouth.
“Oh, I see, yes sir. If you wish so,” Lucy said, she was a bit startled with seeing the expression upon her master’s face, and stuttered while she spoke.
“Sareen is my greatest creation, she gave me the correct answer that I have wished to hear,” he smiled.
Lucy took a step back; she had sweat dropping on her face. She seemed to be getting scared of her master. “I see?” she asked a little confused.
“Well this is good,” he took a sip of his wine, he seemed rather delighted.
“W-what is the correct answer Sareen gave you?” Lucy asked a little curios.
“It seems as though two clans dislike each other quite a bit. I can use this to my advantage,” he sneered, hauling down the rest of his wine, and setting the empty bottle on the stand next to the cleared plate.
Lucy set the empty plate, and bottle onto the tray, and folded up the stand and put it away. She took the tray and left the room, heading towards the kitchen to wash the dishes; leaving her master smiling, and looking from Sin to the papers he held in his hand; laughing like a madman.
“Lucy! May I talk to you for a minute or two?” a voice called out.
“Oh, Sareen! Of course,” Lucy stopped walking and turned around.
“Did you give the master the research papers I gave you to give him?” Sareen smiled, and walked up to Lucy standing in front of her.
“Oh, yes. He seemed rather happy to get the results he said he wanted,” Lucy answered, she stuttered a little.
“Hm, of course he would be happy. He wanted to use the two clans as an advantage to get his queen. Would you like to know why Lucy?” Sareen asked.
“No why?” Lucy looked up and asked.
“Because, his precious queen is the leader of one of those clans,” Sareen smiled.
“Do you like the lady he talks about? Do you really want the master to be with her?” Lucy asked, sadness stuck to her throat.
“Hm? Honestly yes. I think having the queen by the master’s side will make him happy and healthy,” Sareen said, a smile brightened up her face.
“Happy, and healthy,” Lucy whispered.
“I was made to understand living things emotions, but you somehow gained them even though you weren’t programmed to. I think it’s amazing. I also think you would more understand this than I would. Just because I can understand living emotions, doesn’t mean I know right from wrong, and good from bad,” Sareen said, she had an amused look on her face. That face expression told Lucy; Sareen was lying about something, but what?
“I can understand that, although a big part of me wishes to deny that…” Lucy didn’t finish, Sareen answered her.
“Because, you’re in love with him, and still hold on to a chance he will be with you and not her,” Sareen finished.
Lucy gasped, “Sareen!” she cried out loud.
“I told you, I am able to understand living emotions, you gained emotions somehow. We all live in this house together do we not? I have researched you to the point I know every single emotion and thought that runs through you Lucy,” Sareen grinned.
“You,” oil tears began to stream down her face in steam.
“You were valuable research to me, but don’t be sad and angry. If you get in the masters way of getting with his queen I will take you out personally. You are a failed mechanical person who gained emotions you shouldn’t have. That causes serious trouble for the master. Do not think I will allow your selfishness to get in the way of master’s happiness,” Sareen said as she turned and walked away.
Lucy fell to her knees and began sobbing in the hallway. No one came to comfort her, she was alone. Alone in her world forever it seemed.
