“It seems to be part of the experiment,” Harry said. He stood up slowly with a grunt, towering over the people in the front row. “They told me they wanted us to kill each other. That’s what they said. This war we’re fighting. It’s part of their plan.” Claire kept scanning the area, searching for Overseers who might be listening in on this conversation. She was pretty sure this counted as breaking the deal. She felt nothing out of the ordinary, but that was no guarantee of anything. The Overseers might be going out of their way to hide from her now that they knew she could track them. “So,” Harry concluded, “if there’s one piece of advice I can give you, it’s this: push for peace.” Ten minutes later, the last of the students had filed out of the room, leaving only Claire, Harry and Della
