7 Anna heaved out a sigh of relief when the cluster of drones on her tail finally broke off their pursuit. They had chased her halfway around the planet. The Telonoth Ocean was a field of blue underneath her with wisps of clouds forming small storms. Above her, the endless darkness loomed, punctuated by a flurry of stars. Leaning back, Anna covered her eyes with one hand, massaging away a headache. “Those little bastards won’t quit!” She let her arm fall, then spun her chair around. “How are you holding up?” Jack was behind the port-side console, frowning as he watched her like a father who was trying to decide whether his kid needed to stay home from school. “You’re the one doing all the flying.
