Anna landed with a grunt.
The ziarogat recovered and then leaped into a high flip. She had a Time Bubble up in an instant, a simple sphere that distorted her opponent into a blurry figure who hung upside-down in midair. It had already fired a burst of ammo.
Anna stepped aside in the nick of time, releasing her bubble. The bullets drove themselves into the road beside her, kicking up chunks of pavement. The ziarogat flipped over and landed behind her.
She whirled around to face it.
The damn thing tried to point its arm cannon at her.
