Thursday morning the funding body called.
Not an email. An actual call, which was different enough from the expected process that I sat up straighter when the number came through and answered before the second ring.
The woman on the other end was warm and direct and got to the point in the first thirty seconds.
They weren't waiting six weeks.
The panel had met yesterday evening for an emergency session specifically about the Biotek resubmission. Three of the five members had prior knowledge of the original application. They had reviewed Lena's data restructure which I had submitted as an addendum two days ago.
They wanted to move to full funding approval within the week.
