A Dear John

home at last

As we leave the air port there are three cars waiting with men stationed out each one. As we approach one of the men addresses my mate Carter. And give him the update on pack functions as we settle into the car a nd drive to the territory. which i mind you is like 9 hours in the car after 16 hours on a plan i was already for a nice soft bed that i could like three days straight in to recover from all the traveling.

"penny for you thoughts little one." carter ask.

 "just hate all the traveling ready for a bed that i can face plant and sleep for days till i was ready to do something again ."

carte chuckles at my request . but for now i slide down an shift jut right where i am leaning on his shoulder. his scent surrounding me like a warm campfire. as I drift to sleep. 

All of a sudden I feel my self being lifted an i start to freak out as I expect another round of torture to begin. But when my fist connects with carters cheek bone and I hear him cure I suddenly jerk awake to see that I was being carried in the arms of my mate.

they were not kidding when they said that I had a long road of recovering because of what I went through. No wonder they medically separated me. " omg. I am so sorry i didn't mean to do that carter." 

"Damn women you got one hell of a right hook what are you made of rock." he says as he starts to laugh rubbing the already bruising spot where i hit him. " I guess that's out of the question for awhile." well not that you are awake lets walk to my room so that you can rest. the pack is on a hunt right now so there wont be any loud noise that will wake . they wont be back till  tomorrow morning. ill be in my office that is two doors down from the room same side, getting some work done that missed while i was playing GI-JOE."

" do you go on missions like that all the time?"

" No i don't. i was asked by Lenox to help him cause he calls me his rabbit foot. i was merely there to get them out of a situation that they couldn't get out on his own. Which it was a good thing cause Lenox wouldn't have gone all beast mode as he calls it. "

" Oh okay , well I'm going to lay down.im exhausted. Then we can get dinner. Alright love that sounds like a plan carter tells me as he walks out of the room.
