I gasped as Theoden turned to look at me. What the hell was he saying? First, he wanted to reject me for the kingdom, and now he wanted me despite everything? I didn't properly understand what he was saying, not at all, but I would be lying if I said it didn't affect me. A little bit, yes, but it did.
Nathan scoffed.
"Yeah, Theoden, now that you are done spouting off about what you will do for Alyna, even though it is a bit too late, and a bit cringy," Nathan shrugged. "Shall we go back to why we are here?" Nathan hissed and Theoden shrugged as he sat down. I wished he would just grab a shirt and wear it, but no, he looked like he was comfortable sitting there, wearing nothing.
"Are you jealous, Nathan?" Theoden's voice was goading and I didn't like it.
