Rian and I froze when we heard the growl behind us. My body tensed as we turned around, and my stomach literally flipped when I saw Conan’s wolf standing only a few steps away. His fur bristled and his eyes burned with a sharp blue glow. His posture was stiff and ready to attack. Above all, he looked absolutely furious.
