ALPHA CONAN I hadn’t shifted in days. Not fully, at least. But my wolf has been so restless, ever since my last night with Gwen. He paced, growled and snapped at my control. I’d spent the better part of the week locked away in my study, pretending to focus on territory maps and treaty updates. But I lost control of him every night. He kept returning to her door. Even now, I could sense him lingering outside her room. Sometimes he slept there, curled up against the door like a dog waiting for scraps. It got me so upset. It terrified me.
