Sadie> POV

"Breathe Sadie" i close my eyes and repeat the words in my head. I open my eyes and look threw my scope "Target locked Sargent", "Take the shot." I pull the trigger the target goes down when the bullet hits between his eyes. "Target eliminated Sargent." "Good job private lets get our troops out of there" Suddenly gunfire erupts all around us and the Sargent goes down shot threw the neck i rush over and apply pressure to his wound blood covering my hands i try to radio for help. BOOM!!!! a grande explodes the rocks below us and we are falling "AHHHHHHH" i scream i land on the floor with a thud 

I open my eyes im laying on my bedroom floor my dad rushes in "Sadie are you okay why was you screaming?" "Bad dream dad thats all" whipping the sweat from my forehead taking a deep breath. Dad helps me to my feet  "Well breakfast is ready if you are hungry" "ill be right there im gunna freshen up."

I grab my robe and walk to the bathroom to shower the memories away. as i undress i look at the scar on my side where the shrapnel hit me i look at the other scars that arent as bad as the one on my side, one on my thigh  i blow out a breath of relief it didnt damage my tattoo of the crescent moon dream catcher , id hate for another tattoo to be ruined the one on my rib cage has the huge scar gong threw it, it was a silver wolf howling at the moon. i cried more about my tattoo then i did about almost dying. I made a mental note to go see Jane to see if she can fix it. hopefully the scaring wont be seen anymore. 

After my shower i walk into the kitchen Ray is standing by the counter eating bacon. I jump up onto the counter beside him and take his plate from his hand. "HEY !!" I laugh and hand back the plate and snag a slice of bacon he growls at me."Did you just growl at me ? Really?"

"MY Bacon" he says between bites, i Laugh this kid. Ray looks over at me "So how long do we have you for and what are your plans today."  I guess dad didnt tell him i was home for good. i look at day and he smiles." im home for good bud." Rays face lights up with excitement. "My plans for today is im going to find bo and see him and go see Jane to see if she can fix my tattoo." CRASH!!!we look up dad dropped the spatula he turned and looked at me no doubt remembering coming to the hospital in Germany  after the grande blew up. he begged me that day to get out of the army. "Dad are you okay?'' i say hoping down to pick up the spatula," Yeah kiddo im good just a hard subject" I dont remember i was out for a week and had to have 3 surgery's to remove the metal . 

"Well Hannahs family want to invite you out to there place today for lunch"

"Why?" i look at him.

"To be friendly, to get to know you they already know dad and sense i plan on marrying Hannah after graduation they want to meet you." 

"WHOA!! Hold up your getting married? What about collage?"

"Hannahs Brother Collin Offered me a job with his company , its a good job with benefits."  

Anger is taking over i saved every dime i made in the army so i could send Ray to collage. i was going to give it to him as a graduation present over $70,000.00 thats why i never came home and took missions every chance i could. "You still need to go to collage Ray."

"I get that you want me to Sadie but i dont have the money and i dont want to go to the army."

"I was going to pay for it Ray , i saved all the money i earned in the army. so you could go thats why i never took leave." Ray and dad stare at me in shock Ray walks over and hugs me. "Thank you Sadie. ill think about it. okay?"

"Your going to collage Ray even if its just community collage and then you can have the rest to pay for the wedding deal or what ever?" I dont care if he goes to trade school and uses the money for what ever as long as he goes to school.

"How much is it?" Ray looks at me smiling, I laugh "Around $70 thousand Do we have a deal?" 

"Yes we have a deal." he hugged me again "so im hanging with you today then we can go to Hannahs." he said running to his room ho get dressed.

I laugh and look at dad who is staring at me with tears in his eyes. "You did that for him Sadie Jo?"

"Well yeah dad, i knew how you felt about me joining the army i know you was proud but after seeing me in Germany after ." i paused " i just wanted to give him another option." 

Later Ray and i are walking down bourbon street to Janes Tattoo shop, We walk in and  Jane screams with excitement her black curls bouncing as she runs to me hugging me in her small arms.  we walk to her booth and she looks at me. " so whats up you wanting some new ink."

"No i need one fixed it kinda got messed up when i was over seas." i lift my tank top to show her she looks close and traces the scar along the back of the wolf and down the middle of the moon. "Yeah i can fix it hop up on the table,I have a free morning and it will be my welcome home gift plus we dont charge soldiers to fix tattoos damaged in the line of duty. Excited i lay down and she sets up to fix my favorite tattoo. Ray sitting beside me about an hour in says "Can i get one im 18?" I look overat him and laugh. "Can you handle getting one?"

"Yes i can. What do you say Jane wanna give me my first tattoo Sadie can pay for it."

"Whoa now who said i was paying?"

" The three missed birthdays and Two missed Christmases."

"Yeah okay so what you wanting?" i look at him 

"I want a grey wolf with green eyes" i look at him questionably. "Thats oddly pacific Ray."as i get off the table to look at the cover up. He shrugs  "Wow Jane you can barely see the scars now thats amazing  thank so much." i say as i hug her "So why a silver wolf Sadie." Ray asked me as he hopped upon the table."I dont i have this reoccurring dream about this silver wolf its so beautiful i dont know just felt right.
