My First Shift

I think I'm going to hyperventilate!

*Taylor

Oh boy, here he comes! Please someone save me! I'm such a loser, why can't I even talk to him?! What is wrong with me, " you need to chill". Wait, What? That's it I'm officially crazy, I am now hearing voices in my head! "Heads up girl, here comes our man", aah! What is happening? I've got to get out of here!

*Reid

What's wrong, Taylor looks so upset. Where is she going? "We need to follow her", "Rainer I don't know if that's a good idea, we are barely staying in control and if someone upset her I will lose it". "She's our mate, we need to take care of her", "I know man, let's see where she went". I follow Taylor's scent and it leads me to the forrest. It seems our girl finds solace in the woods, her wolf must be near. There she is, why is she crying?

*Taylor

I just needed to get away from everyone and figure out whats happening, am I losing my mind? Why am I hearing a voice in my head? I'm really scared, I think I'm going crazy. Maybe its hereditary, my parents aren't my biological parents they adopted me when I was 2 years old and no one knows anything about my biological parents. I've always worried that I would get some horrible disease, well I guess I have, I'm officially crazy! Is that why they abandoned me, because they were crazy or did they know something was wrong with me and left me? What am I going to do?

*Reid

I approach Taylor slowly, I don't want to scare her. She suddenly turns towards me and sees me. I can't control myself I run to her and wrap her in my arms. "Beautiful why are you crying?" Taylor looks at me strangely and starts sobbing, she is breaking my heart. "Please Taylor tell me, I need to know so that I can help you. I can't stand to see you cry." "Reid, why are you here?" Taylor asks between tears. I know I can't tell her everything, so I tell her that I saw her run off upset and wanted to make sure she was ok. I hate not telling her the truth, but I can't go against my Alpha. "I think I'm loosing my mind" Taylor whispers. "Why would you think that?" I ask. She then tells me that she is hearing a voice in her head. I mind link Alpha Sage and tell him what is happening, he thinks that me being near Taylor is causing her wolf to come out. He still won't let me tell Taylor what is happening. I am beyond frustrated, I need to help her, but my Alpha insisted that I wait and talk to him in person first so that we can come up with a plan. "I think we should just grab her and run, she's our mate, we can take care of her!" Rainer grumbles. I silently growl and pull Taylor into my lap and begin to rub her back to soothe her, she eventually falls asleep in my arms and I can't resist sniffing her hair, she smells and feels amazing.

*Taylor

Umm did he just growl? Reid suddenly grabs me and sits me in his lap, I start to get up and then he starts rubbing my back and I completely forget about getting up, this feels amazing. He is so warm and he smells delicious, like cedar and chocolate, two of my favorite scents.

*Reid

I mind link Miles and tell him everything thats happened and that I'm going to stay with Taylor in the forest for a little while and then I will bring her back to her house. Miles informs me that people are starting to look for her. I just wanted to hold her forever, but I know that I have to wake her up and take her home before someone finds us like this. "Taylor" I gently nudge her, "you need to wake up, I'm going to take you home". I can't resist any longer and kiss her forehead, I then look into her beautiful eyes as she awakens.

*Taylor

How embarrassing! I just fell asleep in Reids lap! But it feels so good to be near him, it makes it hard to stand up. Reid stands with me and takes my hand, then he leads me home. I'm still kind of dazed feeling as we walk up to my house. My mom comes rushing out and looks really upset, "Taylor where have you been and who is this? What's wrong?" I burst into tears trying to tell my mom whats wrong. "What did you do to Taylor?" my mom yells at Reid. He actually looks terrified of my mom, poor guy. "No no, mom! This is Reid, he found me in the forest". My mom then starts apologizing to Reid, " It's ok, I know you are worried about Taylor ". Reid looks at me and smiles, "I'll see you tomorrow Taylor, get some rest beautiful."

*Reid

I walk to the woods as fast as I can and shift into my wolf, we make it to our lands in no time and I search my Alpha out. Shifting back and finding a pair of joggers in my room, I go to speak with Alpha Sage. "Please help me, I need to be with her, I need to tell her everything and take care of her!". "Reid I understand that you are upset, but you have to understand that if you just walk up to her and tell her she is a shifter you will scare her!" "Your parents and I will go speak with her parents tomorrow. This will be very alarming to them, because they don't know anything about us or who their daughter is" Alpha says. "Alpha I have never felt like this before. Rainer is going crazy, I'm on edge and we only calm when we are near her, but even then its not enough." "I understand how you are feeling and know this must be hard, you are the first one I've ever heard of finding his mate living with an adopted family and not knowing she is a shifter. "

*Taylor

Tasha and Hailey have been blowing my phone up but I just don't feel like talking to anyone and I can't get Reid out of my mind. "He's so handsome and did you feel his muscles? I'm in love!"
