Susan becomes erratic, as Bob could no longer control her erratic behaviour. She is now acting like some who have a psychiatric disorder. Therefore, Bob thought, the only way to calm the storm is to leave. However, he is overwhelmed with something and wants to share it with Susan, but Susan did not give him a listening ear. Therefore, he decides to run to Lucy’s place, to plead with Lucy to help him talk to Susan.
Before Bob leaves Susan’s apartment, he picks his phone, call Lucy’s number.
“Hi, Lucy, it is me, Bob”. When Lucy picks up the call, her first response is, “Bob, why are you calling me this early? I hope there is nothing wrong with my friend Susan?” and Bob says, “Please, I need to see you now, it is not something I can discuss with you on call. I am already on my way to your house. Please, I apologize for calling this early, it is urgent and I needed to talk to you.”
Bob in a state of uncertainty turns on the ignition of his car and drives out, heading straight to Lucy’s house in Millionaires Quarters. While driving, because of the state of his mind, he drives recklessly and almost runs into a ditch. He parks, take a deep breath and decide to caution himself to take things easy; else, he will end up cutting short his life, even before arriving at Lucy’s house.
Susan on the other hand tries attempting suicide by picking up a perfect killer insecticide. When she tries drinking the insecticide, wild thoughts flood her heart, as she is now literally hearing voices in the heart of her heart. One of the voices says to her, “Just drink the insecticide. After all, the man you have given your heart is a liar and a pretender. When you drink it, he will not see you torment your life anymore.”
This voice keeps resounding in her heart of heart until she attempts to drink the insecticide, and she heard another voice apart from the wild voice suggesting that she should drink the insecticide. The voice apart from the wild voice comes in a very calm manner, bringing instant relief to Susan’s mind. The voice says to her, “You do not have to drink the insecticide, everything will be alright. Just calm down.”
Susan calms down and trying coordinating her thought, but it seems impossible for her to do that, because what she saw in Bob’s phone became the impulse of her thought, recurring at every single interval.
Immediately Susan calms down and her thought seems to return to normal. It is as if a ray of hope flash into her hopelessness, because she feels hopeless, having concluded in her heart that Bob will marry her. Realizing that Bob has a legitimate family hurts her badly. Susan starts asking herself, “Why did Bob not tell me that he has a family? Why did he decide to keep using me as his s*x toy?”
Susan’s heart becomes full of thoughts in the form of a question, as she drops the insecticide, leaves the kitchen, where she tries all the suicide attempts, to the parlour. However, she is still carrying a knife, as she tells herself, if Bob returns to her apartment, she will stab him to death.
Finally, Bob arrives at Lucy’s house and as he steps out of his car, Lucy is already outside waiting for him. Bob motions toward Lucy, as he greets
“Good morning Lucy” and Lucy answers, “Morning Bob”.
“Can we talk inside your house?” says Bob to Lucy and Lucy says, “No! My boyfriend is in the room and I do not think he will like the idea. Therefore, I think, it will be ideal if we do the talking outside. We can go to the relaxation park over there. I think that is a cool place for us to talk, do you not think so?”
“Yes, I think so…” Bob responds and say, “It is a perfect place.”
Bob and Lucy head to the relaxation park and as they arrive, they both sit down on a constructed metal seat.
Bob starts by saying to Lucy, “I am in a mess…”
“What kind of mess are you?” Lucy asks Bob and tells him to talk more clearly, in order not to leave her in the dark.
“Lucy, there is a problem. As I talk to you right now, I do not know the state of your friend Susan and I cannot explain what she may be doing right now. She found something on my phone and that made her erratic.”
“What did she find in your phone?” Lucy asks to find out from Bob, even as he finds it very difficult to disclose the very truth.
Nevertheless, Bob decides to tell Lucy the truth and explain things to her, wishing someone will understand his predicament.
Bob has never felt this way, despite he has had other girls like Susan, but Susan seems to be different because he could not take his mind off Susan. Nevertheless, the big problem here is the fact that he has his own family. The thought of having his family and not having the desired peace, makes Bob decide to remain attached to Susan. This is because of the peace he desires from his wife, which he has never experienced. Bob feels his wife is very possessive and demanding. Besides, he feels his wife is unruly and very rude. As a man, he feels this should not be so, and since he could not control things, he decides to stay away from his family, instead of with his family because of his wife. Bob feels he has found a family with Susan after trying several girls who have fallen into his claws, and he realize they are not worth keeping as a side chick. Therefore, since Susan is different, he did not want anything to come in between both of them, not even a child. However, he feels his resolve is right and do not care if anyone will think it is wrong. He just wants peace of mind and thinks his money can get him what he wants.
