Lena's POV
I broke rule seven before Rhys's coffee went cold, and I knew exactly how stupid it was while I was doing it. The note on the island said stay inside, Marco is downstairs, I will be back by noon, R, and I folded it up and put it in the pocket of his hoodie anyway.
Marco was in the lobby talking to the doorman, big shoulders, earpiece, serious face, and I took the service elevator down to the garage instead of the main one, heart hammering so loud I was sure the cameras could hear it.
My phone buzzed the second I hit the street, Mara calling, and I answered while speed walking toward the train station with my hood up.
