Lena's POV Viktor said I was pregnant and the rain swallowed the words, but I heard them anyway. I ran onto the roof barefoot, shouting Rhys's name, and both men turned toward me at the same time, Viktor with a gun and Rhys with blood running down his leg. Rhys looked at me, wild and wrecked, rain streaming off his face, and for a second I thought he might drop dead right there from shock. He said, "Lena, get back inside." I said, "No." Viktor smiled wide, teeth white against the dark, gun still pointed at his own head like it was a game. Viktor said, "Congratulations, Captain, fatherhood suits you, too bad you will not live to see it." I took three steps forward, slipped on wet concrete, caught myself, kept going until I was halfway between them. I said, "You are lying." Viktor
