I could see the worry in Ronan's eyes as he gestured for me to be quiet. He knew that if Ezekiel's men found me he would be forced to go against his father. "I need you to listen to me and do exactly what I tell you to do" he said in a hushed tone. "I am going to lead them away from the house. I need you to take the car keys by the back door and go home. I will handle my father and then I will come for you." He kissed me for what seemed like an eternity and then disappeared through the bedroom door before I could say a word. A few moments later, a loud crashing sound came from downstairs. I heard growling and what sounded like retreating footsteps. I took that as a good time to make my escape. I hurried down the stairs making my way to the kitchen. There was a door that led to the garage directly to the right of the pantry. I grabbed the key fob off of the counter and headed through the garage door. Waiting for me was a dark blue Mercedes Benz in immaculate condition. I hopped in hitting the garage door opener as I prepared to floor it if needed. To my surprise no one was waiting for me on the other side of the door. "He must have scared the s**t out of those wolves." I thought to myself as I drove away.
As I neared the pack house, I could feel the rumble of Sage's growl inside me. She didn't like the Idea of leaving Ronan and Axle behind. "They will be fine." I reassured her as we entered the gates to my own personal hell. I was immediately greeted at the front door of my childhood home by my mother. "Where in the hell have you been Destiny? Your father and I thought you were dead!" she said between sobs. "I was kidnapped! Did anyone even bother to come looking for me?" I asked as I walked through the front door to the living room area. The room fell silent as my father started to speak. "Of course we looked for you! I had every single one of my warriors looking for you after the attack. Do you really think your mother and I would abandon you like that?" His face seemed very slightly concerned. "I mean, you were quick to marry me off for a business deal." I said sarcastically. "How dare you little girl! How dare you disrespect your family and your pack!" My father's eyes turned from hazel to red as his wolf Demetri neared the surface. In a moment, he was within inches of my face fighting the urge to turn. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, he froze. The sound of a car approaching caught his attention. I signed in relief as he backed away and turned to speak to his Beta Charlie. "Go see who it is. I am not expecting any guests." In an instant Charlie disappeared from beside him.
When he returned, his face looked as if he saw a ghost. "Red Moon's future Alpha is here for Miss Destiny," he said. There was a long pause for what seemed like an eternity before my father spoke. "Let him in, I would like to speak with him anyways." he said with a devilish grin. When Charlie left the room to retrieve Ronan, my father's gaze shifted towards me. " I can't let you marry the enemy Destiny. I know he is your fated mate but you are to marry the Alpha that I picked for you. Alpha Zane will be a good husband and can help you run this pack. He has been the Alpha of his pack for the last 5 years since his father's passing. He and his family have always been our closest ally." I looked at him with so much anger that he could probably see my blood boiling. "I am not a little girl anymore. I will not marry Zane and I am leaving with Ronan. If you try to stop me I will kill anyone who gets in my way!" I said as I began to let Sage take over. As I prepared to shift, the smell of chocolate and cinnamon filled my nostrils. I turned my head to see Ronan walking in with Charlie not far behind him. "Ronan, it's nice to finally meet you. My name is Ezekiel and I am the current Alpha of this pack. Now with that being said, I am going to need to know why you are here?" he said as he sat in the recliner next to a grey L shaped couch. Ronan looked at me and then back at Ezekiel. "I am here for my mate and I am prepared to handle the situation by any means necessary. If she stays here, my father will kill her when he comes for you. I am not allowing her to marry anyone else besides me either. If you or anyone else has a problem with that then well, it will not end well for you." The corners of his mouth turned into a smile as his hand traced the back of the couch. Ronan walked over to me, grabbing my hand as he led me outside towards the Mercedes. My father stood up and followed us outside to the front yard.
I have heard enough of you kid! You will not leave with my daughter!" His eyes, now glowing crimson red only meant one thing. He was about to shift. As I mentally prepared for the worst, a growl escaped from Ronan's lips as his bones began to rearrange themselves beside me. In less than a minute, Axle appeared before us. His chocolate brown fur was beautiful. "Ronan you don't want to go down this road," I pleaded. It was too late at this point because my father had started to shift as well. His silver fur sparkled in the moonlight. "Stop! I yelled, as my father started barreling towards Ronan like a freight train. Ronan forcefully pushed me out of the way as my dad plowed into him. He pushed me so hard that he sent me flying through the windshield of the Benz. The last thing I remember before passing out was blood. So much blood...
