Chapter 9

Eric POV Since coming back from Texas, I have taken every chance I could to see her. I would park my car around the block and walk through the woods till I got to Anna's house. I would watch as CD would walk through the house, cleaning cooking, even see her cleaning out the gutters. She was looking healthier every day. I watched as she started getting some meat back onto her too-skinny arms, and her legs got a little thicker. I wanted her to wrap them around me while I f**k her against a wall. I want to hear her moan and say my name while I make her see stars as she comes on my c**k. Every day like clockwork, I'd take my lunch break around one, go to their house. Watch her for an hour or so. Go back to work. Think about her while trying to get my work done and then some time after dinner I'd head back. I would watch Anna and CD talk and drink a glass of wine. She looked so relaxed. Which usually makes me so hard because that's when she's at her sexiest. A few days into us being back, I called my buddy Michael. I wanted her to have a new id and a chance to start over. I suggested to Michael that I wanted her to still have the same first letter CD so I could keep my special nickname for her, but I also didn't want to force her to keep that either. She will always be the music that plays in my ears. I took the day off and watched as Michael helped her get everything together. When she got up to use the bathroom, he would call me and update me on what was going on. He even managed to snap a few photos of her when she wasn't looking. She was so beautiful. The brushing on her face was now gone. The dark circles were practically non-existent and the smile she had in one of the photos was pure and genuine. I watched Anna come home and he was leaving. He looked her up and down as he walked away. Michael has been waiting for the queen to his Mafia family. I think, by the interest he showed Anna, he may have found one. Anna would be a great choice for him. Her spunk and gregariousness would fit his introverted seriousness very well. He hasn't dated anyone seriously in years. As Anna walked into the house, I watched as Michael got in his car and drove off. We were meeting at the bar, so I headed to my car and drove over. I need to know everything that happened, and discuss future plans. I parked my car and walked in. Michael, Tommy, Gerald and Desmond were all there. "What are you all doing here?" "We need to discuss some stuff, stuff that concerns both you and CD." I took the open seat. Jerry brought over a round of beers. I handed him my credit card and told him to keep them coming. "Alright, what's going on?" "Joe's going crazy. He's been disappearing from work, and when he's there he's yelling and screaming at the staff. I told him if he doesn't stop he's getting fired. He stopped for a little, but he's starting to escalate again." "So fire him." "If I do that, I won't be able to keep track of him any longer, and that may mean that he'll be even more out of control." "Why does he be CD back?" "He said she's the love of his life and he can't function without her. He needs her back." "Well, I call bullshit on that because he's beaten her since the day they got back from their honeymoon. He beat him so hard she had a miscarriage and was sent to prison for the last five years. He also managed to marry other women and get them pregnant." "Well, apparently she's worth a lot of money. When her parents die, if she's still married, she gets it all, but if she divorces Joe, she doesn't get a cent. Both her parents are failing in health and because she's "missing" the money will go into an account that no one can trust. So Joe needs to find her before her parents die. So he can get the billions that's awaiting her." Billions? Her family is that rich. They have billions. Yet they sold her to Joe? I need to do some digging into the family. I pulled my phone out and texted my tech guy. Marvin, I need you to look into the Boyton Family. Find out how much they're worth and get me a copy of their will.' 'On it. I will message you soon.' "I have Marvin looking into getting me their will. As soon as I get it, I'll have Anna go through it. I'll send you a copy as well. Let's see if there are any loopholes to Joe not getting her money." "OK, so that explains why Tommy is here. Gerald? Desmond? Why are you guys here?" "Well, I had time off and decided to come visit one of my favorite bros. I needed to get away from that Texas .... Heat." "In other words, you got a girl, and she's super clingy, and you needed to get away." "Yea, that sounds about right." "Hows the prison?" "Same ole. Women did stuff that wasn't a crime and now it is. You know the same ole American bureaucrat bull." "Yea I get it." "Desmond?" "The boys said they were coming, so I decided to tag along. Things are quiet in the clubhouse, so why not tag along? "How's your ole lady?" "She's batshit crazy and threatening to cut my balls off because she thinks I f****d some hang around and, well, she doesn't like that. So I told her I had a job to do. One eye understood and told me he had my back." "Well you guys know you can crash at my place as long as you need to." "Good because the hotels here are not comfortable at all, and they frown when you light up a joint." "Or rev your motorcycle." We talked for a few more hours before we all headed back to my place. It was like a mini parade. Five vehicles all following me through the town. We pulled into my driveway and headed inside for more beer and talking. I miss my brothers. We went through so much being in that group home. Lots of beatings and running away. Planning for our lives outside once we turned 18. I was penniless, and had no roof over my head. I went back to my old neighborhood. I saw the last foster parents I had, The Markowski's. I walked up the driveway and confronted my old foster dad. "Can I help you?" "I'm surprised you don't remember me." "Sorry should I?" "You threw me away five years ago." His hand came up to his mouth, his jaw had dropped open. "Eric? What are you doing here?" "I came to see Cassandra. Why are you here and not in Montana?" "The promotion fell through. I didn't get it. So we stayed. I tried to get you back, but I was told you were placed with a good family. That you were happy." "I was in a group home. In the back slums of Dallas. I lived with 20 other boys. It was hell. I was mugged and beaten regularly. I was finally set free this week, and my first thought was to come and find Cass and make her mine again." "Eric. Son I don't know how to tell you this. She's engaged. She's marrying Joe Miller next week for her 18th birthday." "What do you mean she's getting married? She's too young. She needs to finish school and get her life together. She needs to know I came back for her." "There's nothing you can do. She's happy. Let her be happy Eric. She deserves that much." I found out later that I was sent away because CD's father had a written contract with Joe and his family that when she turned 18 she would marry Joe and I needed to be out of the way so she could start dating him and get to know him, be groomed by him. Then my foster father was paid 30 million to send me away. Needless to say, Desmond and Michael took care of them and I got all the money. Of course, I tried to split the money with them, but they waved me off. So, when I moved here, I opened the construction company as well as a coffee shop, a hotel, and a ski / hike shop. I was raking in money hand over fist. We only used the best lumbar for the projects, and we did everything from the book. My other businesses I ran the same, everything by the book. I invested in my friend's businesses as well, so we were all making money the legal way. Which helps when we need to cover up the illegal stuff. Money can make everything disappear. The day of the company's holiday party, Anna brought CD with her. I watched her wonder through the room. Michael and the boys were there also. "Dude, in the words of Usher, you got it bad." "I can't stop thinking about her. She's put on some weight and she looks perfect. I want to dance with her. I want to feel her body and taste her." "So go ask her to dance." "I need a slow song." Tommy pulled out his phone and texted the DJ. "All set, dude. He's going to play Landing in London — 3 doors down. Go get her." I walked out onto the floor, and she was starting to walk off. I put my hand on her shoulder and asked her to dance. I could focus on anything except finally feeling her under my touch. I love this feeling so much. She feels amazing. I wanted to talk, but she didn't want to leave Anna. I looked at Michael and looked at Anna. He got the hint and went to talk to her. Distracted her while I talked to CD. She wanted to know how I knew her nickname. I'm not ready for her to know that I'm her Eric. That I'm still in love with her. Thankfully, Anna came out and they went home. I called Anna the next morning and CD answered the phone. It's time for me to talk to her. I don't want her to know the truth, but I don't think I have much of a choice. I want her. For her to be with me, I need to be honest. It's time I came clean.
